Boiled eggs (for keeping me full) Fine green beans (to pad out rice/pasta/curries/stews) Greek yoghurt (instead of using mayo or cream)

Cycling. Works an absolute treat. Try to do 20 minutes a day 5 days a week (moderate - vigorous) and after a couple of months you should really notice the difference. I have forever had an issue with my wobbly chubby thighs but now they are half the size and they don't wobble half as much as before, I have been cycling for…

poor you, i used to get it all the time when i was in a school swim team and it's so irritating! it sounds (and looks) stupid but it might work, depending on how long you've had the water in your ear and how much went in.....it worked for me every time, sometimes after a few attempts with long intervals in…

Honestly you should't be so hard on yourself! As long as you remain near the goal you should be fine - I know the feeling though but don't let it take over your life or feel terrible for it. If anything, if you go over and you feel guilty for it then run up and down the stairs or do jumping jacks for 5 minutes! :)

As long as you are staying hydrated, that's important. It;s a myth that we all have to consume 2 litres a day or whatever it is. You can easily steam carrots and peas in the microwave....they are very low on calories! Even to bulk up your soups. Plus you are under your calorie goal anyway most days and if you go 20 - 50…

You seem to be maintaining your calorie goal well - apart from being under 1200 occasionally which probably isnt ideal. If I were you (and before I continue, I too am guilty of the same thing by the way - I am certainly no angel!) I would incorporate a few more veggies if you can, and add to your ready meals at dinner…

It wont taste as buttery as normal garlic bread but definitely try: Philadelphia Light with Garlic and Herbs + mix in some freshly chopped parsely + pinch of salt. Spread into slices of a Weighwatchers par-baked baguette, or wholemeal pitta bread or wholemeal baguette + then bake. Not bad!

by the way, you may wanna get a bunch of great ideas from this topic i posted last year: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/425060-cooking-with-cottage-cheese

garlic granules, chopped fresh tomato, salt and pepper, in the microwave for a minute or so, mix together and eat with crunchy rye toast, very nice. either that or on its own. good old plain cottage cheese.

I definitely agree!

I'm a egg-head too, I love them, can't get enough of them. I eat on average 4 boiled eggs a day (usually the whites only - to keep fat level to a minimum) and allow myself a couple of whole eggs on the weekend. Yolks n all. Just today I put as my status: Checking in on MFP several times a day now. For me, it's overtaken FB!

1/2 Brown rice and 1/2 steamed green beans or any steamed veg = good base for any stews, casseroles, curries or similar which you can make at home (low fat, low calorie versions) and simply re-heat at work. Not too carby and also very filling.

On the upside, Coca Cola is THE best hangover cure in the entire world, ever. I swear by it, it's my go-to for those occasional unbearable mornings-after-the-night-before'. (In moderation of course). Tastes great as well, but that's just my opinion :drinker:

Definitely. Anchovies with loads of crushed garlic, lemon, pepper and fresh parsley, sauteed in fry-lite with, then mixed with wholewheat spaghetti is immense. Kippers/smoked fish with chopped fresh tomatoes, chopped spring onions (scallions) chilli & a drop of sesame oil - on rye bread topped with a poached egg & wild…

That sounds so delicious. I'm going to try that little egg n rice mix - I love egg n rice anyway, so with some added flavour, how can it go wrong? Thanks girl, I might try adding some garlic to it as well (is that the seasoned salt you used?). [PS. yep, some folk like to make sarky remarks yet can't handle a valid…

Thank you - lovely sardine toast slices idea, sounds nutritious too as no mayo or butter + wholemeal bread is the best. Might try having it for my lunch tomorrow in fact. I cant get the mac n cheese boxes here in the UK but I do miss them (used to have it when I lived abroad) so perhaps it'd work with home made mac n…

So simple yet sounds great! Also very very healthy, what a great snack :drinker:

fresh sardines are lovely, but the tinned kind are actually growing on me and i enjoy them too so maybe try the recipe that i make my other half (i try to avoid pasta at night if i can so i make it just for him) which is above your post x
-
That sounds very tasty and healthy too - glad you're getting into them! So is my other half, actually....the tinned tomatoey kind. It doesnt cost much but it's pretty yummy....I now mix it with sauteed garlic, scallions, parsley, chilli, sundried tomatoes and freshly cooked wholewheat pasta (using a bit of pasta water to…

Yes! I have heard guys in their groups comment "horrible" or "nahhhhhh!!" and even "fat" - all out loud, loud enough for me to hear when I have walked past them or when they have walked past me, on holiday and here in the UK. All of them were British guys, by the way!
-
thanks  - i dont eat baked potatoes much but i love the taste of butter in my mashed sweet potatoes or mashed potatoes and wholemeal pasta, not sure if it is worth all this money if i havent even tried it :ohwell:
-
Though I am slightly dubious, apparently according to the one and only reviewer for this product: "I have used Butter Buds for many years, and since living in the UK have brought them with me from visits to the US. Now I find that they are available HERE in the UK! I highly recommend Butter Buds to anyone watcing…

Update: back pain has subsisded by about 70% so not too worried now, must have been due to poor form during an exercise or weights. Phew!

That sure is a lot of hard work! Amazing :)

Has anyone else any experiences like this before after a vigorous work out by any chance? Would be interested to hear what happened, before during and after...

what kind of stuff do you do in body combat? i do body pump sometimes, is it similar?
-
Me too - you'll be surprised though as I often have naughty stuff in there, just in moderation (and some free days too). ....Including a daily glass of red wine!

Thanks hun - I hate going to docs! x

I am fearful of bulking up and having manly looking muscley arms....they are big in proportion to the rest of my body already :-\ Thanks girl x
