Interesting - thanks for sharing this. My aunt, who is editor of a very high profile fashion magazine (go figure) - seems to annually tell me that I need to lose weight, when I fully know I do and I am actively doing something about it. Even when I have lost weight since the last time, she is so used to skinny models etc…

I have never used cottage cheese in pasta before but you have inspired me to do so, sounds SO delicious and low fat!!
-
Do you eat white and yolk? I could eat eggs all day long, I love em. If I did though I'd be way too gassy and my other half would have to move out!
-
Where I live, sundried tomatoes and artichoke hearts are not the cheapest things to buy - I wish they were though because that recipe sounds amazing! Here's what I like to do, it;s fast, cheap and low fat: Boil up some wholewheat pasta and when there's only about 5 minutes left to go till it's cooked, chuck in a few…

Thanks everyone - this is comforting to know - I shall continue to eat egg whites when feeling peckish in this case. It's a rather bizarre snack to keep in your desk drawer isn't it? I notice that when I dont have any eggs though, I get hungrier a lot quicker. I love the luxurious yolk so this is music to my ears too. I've…

nice! i want spring rolls now after reading that, is 10am too early for this craving?
-
Sounds long winded but is really quick and easy, takes me about 1 minute to make it: -1 heaped teaspoon of dijon, wholegrain or english mustard, -half teaspoon of sugar or honey -pinch of granulated garlic or crushed fresh garlic (1 small clove) -pinch black pepper and a pinch of salt -2 teaspoons cider vinegar (or use…

I tried soaking them in water a couple days ago, it was disgusting! Quite like frog spawn, and I dont think I could do that again - surely if I drink them with plenty of water, it will have the same effect but internally, in my stomach, as opposed to having to stomach it as a drink?

wholemeal pasta with flaked white fish, horseradish, low fat greek yoghurt, grated carrot, watercress and rocket leaves?

someone wants to keep the topic to the top of the post listings because they like this post.

I'm 5'3 and a half. Medium frame - (heavy boned I like to think!) being part viking (I'm 1/4 Danish) I weigh 157 lbs and wear a size 14 pants (According to most websites, this weight is considered borderline obese...seriously?!) My goal weight is 130lb as I think this is the ideal weight according to tests I have done. I…

Just type this in: Crown Carveries - Full Roast Dinner! there's already nutr. info in the database. PS> you dont have to be exact with this logging, that'd take a while (unless, like me, you are extremely determined to get it spot-on, in which case, put for example: 3 large roast potatoes, chicken Leg, or lamb shank, bread…

Good post! I ordered 2lb of them online yesterday, how much do you all eat per day? 1 tablespoon? What do they taste like when mixed with water and does the gel produce a non-stick layer if you use it to cook with, in place of butter or oil?
-
Oh right - I thought you meant on their own  Yes incorporating at least half of your plate's worth of vegetables, cooked or raw, seems to work, it is a good way to make your food go further and keep you fuller.

I agree, it seems to help me cut down on the portions I eat at dinner time as well if I drink it before I eat.

I soooooo wish this was the case with me, I have tried this theory out so many times and I always feel hungry within 30 minutes :grumble:

This is just one of many calculators I have entered my height and weight into (and my age, 29) http://www.calculator.net/ideal-weight-calculator.html?ctype=standard&cage=29&csex=f&cheightfeet=5&cheightinch=4&cheightmeter=180&x=47&y=13 Every single site and BMI or height/weight/fat% calculator/chart thing online has…

Less salt, more fibre. Also Nettle Tea is meant to be good for helping get rid of Water Retention!
-
I have the exact same problem, I live above a massage and beauty salon so they need soothing music and a spa environemt for their clients - then there's me doing noisy cardio and exercise right above them! However, as long as it is within reasonable hours (which should be clearly stated in your contract, usually between…

Hey girl, the 1lb could be water retention, it happens sometimes, is it your TOM? Even if not, everyone fluctuates a couple of lb's every now and then. Please do not feel too upset about it. I gained 2lb last week, I was a little annoyed but then realised it might just be water retention or the wine I drank the night…

If only we could get that stuff in the UK! I love pies of any kind but getting my hands on low fat/low cal pastry is never easy
-
chopped melon is a discreet one, no crunch noises and no strong smell (like egg whites, which is what i eat when i get hungry in the office, really helps fill me up for next to no cals (often I have a half piece of bread with it with flora extra light, pre-spread at home) - trouble is, it stinks, as i boil them fresh every…

If it is AGILITY you want, the best excercise would probably be YOGA. It greatly helped me improve mine! It's known for improving agility in everyone who practices it and that seemed to be the main focus for your according to your post. I did Zumba for the first time (in a class) last night and it was good fun, but I was…

No way, I love cooking way too much! this was the first time I'd ever bought them and they were 3 for £2 at Iceland, thought it'd be worth a try and....it was! Now I know I can have nice warming comfort food for lunch with hardly any fat and very low in cals , that ISN'T salad - that's the wrong kind of lunch to be eating…
-
I just compared to Sainsbury's taste the difference and 300g of their cottage pie (which is probably miles tastier, mind!) contains 423 cals and 26.4 cals VS weightwatchers 200 cals, 3g fat (Sainsburys also do cottage pie in their value range, same amount of fat, 27 more cals).....so yes I'd probably save money in the long…

I did Zumba for the first time ever last night after a Legs Bums and Tums class....how silly did I feel?! The whole class room was brimming with fantastic dancers who knew every single move and got the timing spot on etc. Me - I looked like a complete dork, I do have co-ordination but the instructor didnt really talk the…

Anyone? :embarassed: I want to order a 2lb bag to try it out - dark or white seeds - anyone know the different benefits, if any?

Yeah the sodium content worried me initially, but actually there was only 1.6g for the meal and that's under 1/3 of what the RDA is - I suppose not as bad as I feared, of course it could be better but then there'd be very little flavour...still, really inspired to freeze lunch sized portions made by these fair hands o…
