• As an aside, I just found nerdfitness. looks like they have a tonne of stuff (fitness and nutrition videos, plans etc) for a flat lifetime rate. Looks kinda gimmike though. Like its called nerd fitness so lets reference LOTR a lot so we show that we are truly nerdy. That kind of stuff kinda pushes me away, but the site…
• I think thats the key LouSmorals (nice moniker, btw ;-) ) "Now just gotta do it..." I've lost 30 lbs here (gained some back), just not feeling it this time and looking for some inspiration. I know deep down that the problem is me and not MFP. "Its a poor craftsman that blames his tools" or some such thing :-)
• Thanks everyone! I'd say thats pretty unanimous! My psychologist had suggested WW (with the caveat that she had never done it) suggesting that as the very least they might have good strategies for eating out, bbqs etc (I find the summer the worst time to even consider eating to lose). My sis tried it once and found the…
• Well I have lost a bunch, but no inches lost...maybe you are gaining muscle?
• I used to have a few beers almost every night, so when I started this weight loss I decided to have 1 night a week (sometimes 2 depending on say a birthday party, or something) where I can drink as much beer as I like and have a pub meal or whatever. Beer is one of my biggest issues because I love the social aspect (the…
• Chicken breast simmered in apple sauce and curry spices. Delicious!
• Tomatoes are fruits!!!
• I saw your numbers, Roksfarm, and nearly fell off my chair. Way to go! Everyone who has posted so far has done great!
• Fruit often gets my blood sugar up and then I feel weird and eat more - which is why I avoid fruit. BUT, my bf bought mandarines and I can't resist them, so I think I will rock this one :-)
•
haha, i go to nerd school so its somewhat acceptable to be a diehard fan here
NERDS RULE!
• Yesterday I started my day with squats, wall push-ups and other core exercises. Hard to get motivated to do that when you are sleepy, but it actual wakes you up and gives you some energy to start your day!
• same, i read and watch movies a lot (just got all the harry potter movies, i'm a huuuuuuuuuuge fan)
I LOVED the books, haven't seen all the movies yet. Gives me a good idea for a marathon..hmmm..now to convince the boyfriend :-)
The 1st HP reference was supposed to be a quote from an earlier post by…

• I make time for stuff that makes me happy, never fear! They just aren't always things that burn calories! I love to read, and I play video games and love sitting on the couch with my man watching a stupid move (ever seen Megashark vs. Giant Octopus?). I realize that just sitting around burns calories, but for me they are…
• YEsterday I did the stairs instead of the elevator...not that fun, but definitely a challenge!
• http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/1704-want-to-be-a-loser Try this group maybe....just started, but the woman running it is very supportive and is all about making friends...

• I gotta admit that this one is going to be difficult for me. Adding 100 calories extra if I am not supposed to 'exercise' it off is hard....that means adding something completely foreign to my day, every single day. Yesterday I had training (sit down) all day and then a work dinner so my day was 16 hours...I came home and…
• Well, I am not as verbose as everyone else, but I"ll introduce myself. I'm Colleen and I live in Calgary Alberta (don't hold that against me  ) I have lived all over Canada (including Toronto - where are you, FitMiss?) but have stayed here due to family. My story is pretty simple. I have always been a bit big -…
• I'd say your body needs rest. Part of why you are tired is that your body is using resources to get you well. Pushing yourself to exercise could delay the healing process
• Maybe your body doesn't like your diet change? Are you retaining any of that extra water? Sometimes my body just takes a week off of losing, even though I've done everything right. 2-3 lbs a week isn't the healthiest, maybe your body is just done with doing that and thinks you are 'starving' and is thus keeping the weight?
• I have 2 herniated discs, and my physiotherapist recommended simple walking.
• My scale said that happened to me...I kind of doubt it, though
• Is it just me, or does 2 inches sound pretty great to have lost in 3 weeks?
• I also got a ladybug on my shoulder at 17...or maybe 18 years old :-)
• My friend just posted this on FB saying she had super results with it. She tried Magnelevures. Anyway, I am skeptical, but maybe they will work for someone! She goes to a naturopathic doctor who recommended them
• i hear ya. it's not just simple math.
• I have had them since I was 12. Imitrex (prescription) is the only thing that helps. They are way too bad for over the counter, or herbal/alternative meds. I have a headache (not migraine) almost every single day.
• I like to work out to Tool as well...maybe not the brand of metal you speak of...
• Two Door Cinema Club is my current favourite
• I have read that when you crave sweets your body may want protein. Not sure if it's true, and I am sure it's not the same for everyone, but maybe try increasing that?
