  • This is a lifetime of habits that we are trying to change and there will be times that we fall back into old habits. I think that if you hit a 9 on that anxiety scale and your first instinct was to exercise and try a healthy snack that is anything but falling off the wagon, it's a sign that you are making the changes you…
  • People look at me funny when I say I crave salt but I feel you on this one. I also crave the crunchiness so I will do a light popcorn with extra salt if the way it comes in the bag just isn't cutting it. I have also found that baked chips can be a good snack if I get the individual serving bags. Let's face it...when a…
  • I had my fitbit linked to MFP for quite a while. It was excellent because I might have days where I walk a lot but don't consider it exercise. The link allows MFP to see that I have moved a lot more than usual and adjust my calories for it. I never took my fitbit off for exercises but I did enter the times in MFP so it…
  • I repeat to myself while working out that I have to keep training in case there is an actual zombie apocalypse. It is actually quite motivating. I will definitely be checking back on this thread. Thanks for the great idea!
  • Starting weight 206.8. Thanks for reminding me!! I am going on a cruise this week, maybe this challenge will help keep me from overindulging too much!!
  • Great NSV! I recently discovered fun runs and obstacle runs...I'm addicted! I know that I have never been as proud of myself as the moment I crossed the finish line at my mud run, hope you get to feel that over and over again.
  • Just started the 30DS for the first time last weekend. I am plowing through level one and feeling good! Do you guys add extra stretching to the workout or take rest days? I have been fighting a very very sore neck for the last few days and am starting to think this might not just be muscle soreness but possibly an injury…
  • Love this challenge and so glad you guys brought it back! Even though I'm a week late I am going to jump in so I don't miss the next one! Weighed in 11/12 at 209.8.
  • I have struggled/do struggle with the same thing. I will admit that in the past I have downed an entire package of double stuffed Oreos in one sitting. Afterwards I feel sick and I hate myself. I don't want to be around people because I irrationally feel like they will know I did it. It's like a drug. Things that have…
  • Another thing to consider is being less aggressive with your weekly goal. If you are targeting 1 pound a week but feel hungry and can't seem to stick with it try changing it to half a pound a week. You'll get 500 more calories each day and it may be easier while you adjust to this new lifestyle of thinkin about your food.…
  • I just started the 30ds this past weekend. Level 1 day 3 complete - I hurt all over in such a good way right now. :D
  • I like to indulge guilty pleasures...the 90's had the right beat for working out. Think Spice Girls, MC Hammer, Presidents of the United States, Nirvana, Cranberries, Sir Mix a Lot, etc. etc. Definitely a guilty pleasure but no one can hear it to judge you! :ohwell:
  • I also have a rather sedentary job and when the work piles up I can leave the office at 6 or 7 with no more than 2,500 steps in my day. Sometimes this is great motivation for me and other days I see it as a huge defeat and count the day as lost...I guess there is good and bad in there. I have been working in the UK off and…
  • Thank you! I have been watching for that app for quite a while and still missed the release of it. I have given the permission to share data so we'll see how this works out.

  • Caught the stomach flu over the holidays. It certainly made sure that I didn't eat too much and it dropped me past that 10 pound mark for the month. SW - 206.2 lbs (Tuesday Nov 1) Week 1 - 201.6 lbs(Tuesday Nov 8 ) Week 2 - 199.8 lbs (Tuesday Nov 15) Week 3 - 199.6 lbs (Tuesday Nov 22) Week 4 - 195.4 lbs (Tuesday…
  • Starting Weight: 201.6 Ending Weight : 195.8 This gives me a 5.8 pound weight loss over two weeks. Yay for the stomach flu over the holidays!
  • 11 days of eating all my meals at restaurants is taking it's toll on my body. I feel like a blared seal or something. Hopefully this will budge next week when i'm back at home. SW - 206.2 lbs (Tuesday Nov 1) Week 1 - 201.6 lbs(Tuesday Nov 8 ) Week 2 - 199.8 lbs (Tuesday Nov 15) Week 3 - 199.6 lbs (Tuesday Nov 22) Week 4 -…
  • When you start a harder exercise routine your muscles can retain water to help themselves heal. This is probably what happened to you. I would suggest eating back at least some of your calories to get up to 1400-1600 at a minimum if you are working this hard and make sure to drink plenty of water. You will see the scale…
  • Broke through the 200s even on the road. I actually packed my scale in my luggage before flying across the world just so I wouldn't miss this check-in. Turned out it has also kept me honest about what I eat over here. SW - 206.2 lbs (Tuesday Nov 1) Week 1 - 201.6 lbs(Tuesday Nov 8 ) Week 2 - 199.8 lbs (Tuesday Nov…
  • I'll bite. My starting weight this morning is 201.6. I'm travelling right now and eating every meal on the road. This could be interesting
  • I did Curves for about 2 years. It was a great way to get into the gym scene without feeling overwhelmed. I lost about 10 pounds when I was going regularly and sort of watching what I ate. I definitely felt better and put on a good bit of muscle. I especially loved the community that forms since the gyms are small and they…
  • Good luck! Remember that some people don't see the numbers on the scale as much as they see the inches and the fit of their clothes which is actually cooler if you think about it. I hope that you work hard and see the results on Thanksgiving day. That would be something to be thankful for! :drinker:
  • I read that and found myself thinking, "Do I have enough change to get a Diet Mt. Dew from the vending machine". I guess these types of things don't work for me. :ohwell:
  • I'm partial to short hair since it is easier to take care of. Also consider that the long hair you posted is a cut for someone with thin hair but the short one was a cut for someone with thick hair.
  • I like to throw in a Waldorf Salad for another fresh veggie/fruit combo. I don't like mayo though so I would sub a plain greek yogurt.
  • Yikes! Either she is one of the many doctors that don't actually know any of the details or she is just truly bad with people. Either way find a new doc and fast!
  • Just because you like bad music on repeat doesn't mean the rest of us need to listen too. In addition, belching is not attractive so don't do it...but alas, we have said that and it turns out nothing changes.
