Every morning, naked and after peeing. It keeps me focused, and I like seeing what yesterday's choices come up as today. I retain water like a sponge, so I can tell if I'm getting enough water by how the scale is the next day. I usually am down a few days, back up a lb or so, then back down a few more lbs, so as long as…

I like having a small breakfast, lunch, and dinner with snacks in between. You have to do what works for your body. Weight loss isn't "one size fits all", but multiple meals doesn't do anything for metabolism.

On average, 120 oz of plain water a day. That's usually about 15 cups. I also have coffee and green tea daily, but if I add anything to the water I don't count the water towards my goal. When exercising more than normal, I definitely drink more.

I was a soda/sweet tea addict. I refuse to deal with the caffeine withdrawals and the associated fatigue, so I drink a cup of coffee every morning, and brewed green tea during the day, if I'm craving something other than water. I do like water, a lot of it, but sometimes if I'm wanting something cold that isn't water, I go…

As much as people wish for it, there is no magic pill/drink/etc for weight loss. As stated above, it's simply burn more calories than you consume.

Ugh. If you want to buy them, more power to you. A former co-worker used it and sold it, and kept trying to sell it to us. Kept giving customers bogus health advice.

Everyone slips up. Everyone has a day that they go over. But I try to limit those to maybe once a month. The other weekends, I just try to make the best choices I can in the situation I'm in. Even if that means having a large breakfast with my family and then working out extra and eating light the rest of the day. If going…

Check with your doctor before you do anything. But walking is a great exercise that is recommended as long as you have no complications. But as a rule of thumb, ask your doctor first.

I'm gonna say...don't waste your money on the book. And just 20 "key foods"? Anything that is going to restrict your diet that much can't be sustainable. OP, do you want to lose weight and keep it off, or do you want to gain it back when you get done? If you like the idea of eating clean, do it. If you like the idea of low…

When I first set out, the first time 5 years ago, I only set a goal to lose 25 lbs. When I hit that, I set one for another 25 lbs. Little goals break the big one up into parts that are easier to reach, which makes it so much less stressful when you look at it. You can do it, it's hard work but it's so worth it. And I…

I'm gonna chime in with praise for the Paragard IUD. I've had mine for almost two years and it's amazing. I've always had irregular cycles so I can't comment on the spotting or heavier cycles thing, but I love mine! The Paragard is the non-hormonal one, the Mirena is hormonal.

I don't even know you and yet I want to hug you. Words do not describe this accomplishment. You look so proud, and you should be! Congratulations!

I find that if I don't drink at least a couple liters a day, I retain a ton of fluid. Like today, I've had 18 cups, so that's about 144 oz so far, and it's only 4 pm. I'll probably drink another 6 cups with dinner. Everything that I drink out of is 24 oz or 3 cups (I measured them) so I just calculate it like that. Helps…

Sometimes you can find good deals on Amazon. The one I got was on sale for $25, originally $75. So, just look around and wait till the price is right. I love mine. It's way more accurate than MFP or the machines.

Infused water. I get a large mason jar and add lemon slices and sliced strawberries. So delicious.
-
Can these be frozen? How long do they last in the fridge? They sound amazing for quick breakfasts!
-
Counting them takes too much time. I log every bite I take, so I don't nibble anymore. Yeah, it wastes a bit of food when my 2 year old decides that she doesn't want to eat all her dinner, but it's not such a big deal when it comes down to it.

I really think it depends on the person, and even then it's day to day. In the beginning of mine, or at the end, it's not so bad. But if I'm having (TMI) leaking issues I may take a rest day. One day of rest or taking it a bit easier is better than the whole week off.
-
So much easier to brew your own. Make a lot at one time and pour up some in the morning, it's really just as quick, and cheaper. I make tea and pour it up in mason jars and stick in my fridge, easy to grab in the morning! Add some honey and it's still sweet but way healthier.

Pasta, white bread, potatoes...I have no control when it comes to these things. So I don't eat them unless it's in a Healthy Choice meal or Lean Cuisine.

Yeah, my almond milk is 30 cal for 1 cup, so 15 cals isn't too awful. And perhaps it is the oats, I used old-fashioned.
-
Maybe so. I was trying to cut down the calories by using water because I prefer mix-ins. Thanks! I'll give it a try with almond milk.

Took me losing almost half my body weight to get pregnant. That and finally deciding that we probably wouldn't have kids, so I just quit worrying. The very next month...bam. She's two now.

I usually use packaged oatmeal (gasp) and add a drizzle of honey and about a tbsp of whipping cream. Pair that with a coffee or some fruit. Keeps me full!
-
BUMP!

A few years back, I lost 115 lbs and got to my lowest weight ever, 175. I got pregnant and gained most of it back, over time, and then ran into a good friend's stepmother, who proceeded to tell me that she was glad that I'd gained a bit of weight, because I was just really too thin. Gee, thanks.

I like a slice of toast with peanut butter and a drizzle of honey, with a mug of green tea!
