What went wrong with my refrigerator oatmeal?
Help, please! I tried making refrigerator oatmeal/overnight oats last night, and when I got up they were still the same, clearly separated water and oats. I used 1/2 cup rolled oats with 1 cup water in a small jar with a lid.

Starting over from scratch
Between December 2009 and January 2011, I lost 115 lbs, and 12 dress sizes. Then I got pregnant, and had a beautiful daughter, but I didn't have the energy or the discipline to get active to lose the weight again. I binged on food while she was napping. Now, I find myself almost at my original starting weight. None of my…

Fat-Shaming May Curb Obesity?
http://todayhealth.today.com/_news/2013/01/24/16664866-fat-shaming-may-curb-obesity-bioethicist-says?lite Found this interesting little article. A bioethicist thinks that since being nice to obese people isn't helping, maybe a bit of shaming might do the trick. (That's a very concise summary, though) Thoughts? (and if…

Would you up your calories?
I'm 220 lbs (lost 115 in 2010, gained 60 while pregnant, working on losing baby weight plus what I had left to lose). I'm 5'6''. I strive for 1500 calories a day, I don't get to exercise as much as I'd want due to my job, housework and taking care of my baby. I'm losing, but I find myself losing more when I go over on my…

Resistance Bands
I have been looking at getting some resitance bands for certain exercises. I have free weights (2 lbs, 5 lbs and 10 lbs) but I'm wanting to add something else to my workouts. Would it be worth getting them?

Female Weight Lifting- Toning
I'm lifting light weights in an effort to tone (5-10 lbs depending on exercise), and I'm wondering, how often should I be doing that? I do a class twice a week where we lift light weights, I know I won't bulk up too much, and I really want muscle definition, but obviously I don't want to overdo it. The guideline saying…

Adding new foods
One of my goals for 2011 is to add a new food to my diet every month. I'm very picky, and I can't eat raw fruits or vegetables, everything has to be cooked. So far my list includes eggplant, butternut squash and kale, but I really need some more ideas! And ways to cook them would be awesome too.

I finally have pictures for comparison!
The only picture I had that truly showed me "before" was on Christmas Eve 2009. I figured I'd take a picture on Christmas Eve this year for a 1 year comparison. The left picture is around 290 lbs. The right picture is around 180 lbs. How do you post an image?

Not new to MFP, but new to the forums.
Hello! I've been on MFP since mid-May, but I'm just now posting in the forums. I started this (it's not a diet, it's a life change :) ) in April 2010. My highest weight was back in January sometime, I don't remember the details, all I know is one day I got on the scale, it read 292 lbs, I panicked and ran to the fridge.…
