I agree, that should motivate you to prove them wrong. There is a lot of support on here to keep you going if you need it. Don't give up! You can do and be whatever you set your mind to!

Yes lift hard and eat a lot but make sure what you eat is healthy food and not junk. Thus follow the macros.

All our bodies are different. I'm 45 years old and am 5'7". My goal was to hit 130 which I did. Not enough. I currently am at 124 with a new goal of 120. To me it's about bodyfat, how you look and feel. If you have a small frame (as I do) you can go a lot lighter than you are now.

There is no food nor protein shake that will take away your hunger all day. Might I suggest you read about insulin levels, etc.? Getting hungry after 3 to 4 hours is normal. This is why it is suggested we eat 3 meals and 2 or 3 light snacks during the day. blah blah blah

Maybe a bit taller but proof it can be done. I'm 45, 5'7" and at 124. Goal was 130 and changed it to 120 to lose more BF.

I use peanut butter whey isolate protein and a sprinkle of PB2 (the one with cocoa). No sweetener needed.

You look fabulous and healthy! Wonderful job!

What an amazing job you've done! I can't believe that is your BF though. You look great and a Happy Thanksgiving to you!

Doing both are fine. I suggest lifting weights first then cardio if you are doing them back to back. There were a few times on my journey that I had been stuck for a month. Just keep doing what you're doing, resist the urge to eat less and above all, eat cleaner than you ever have now. The scale will move!

All the suggestions are great. Sometimes we plateau for a month or so. (I have more than once) Just keep doing what you're doing and make sure you are eating clean. Diet is the major factor here. You will break through it. Just be patient.

I started loving it after week 5. 2months now and just ran a 9k this past weekend. Another 5k coming up in a month.

Honestly, no one can motivate you but you. You've done well so far but have to keep asking yourself how bad do you want it. Recognizing you do this is a huge step. What had helped me is when I asked myself what is more important, the temporary gratification (so we think) of something unhealthy to eat or looking and feeling…

You have done such an amazing job! Keep it up!

Wow how amazing! You should be so proud of yourself!

Awesome!!!

Marcos are protein, carbs and fat. Based on your goals you set what % of your diary is what. Examples runners need to eat more carbs to give them energy so they may have their carb marco set at 55%.

How wonderful for you! Your dedication and determination certainly shows!

Well done! Keep it up!!!

My RMR is 1400, TDEE 1650 and I eat roughly and average of 1800 - 2000 calories per day and still lose a bit (I'm maintaining now). I completely agree with the person who said everyone is different. Remember all these calculators are just estimates so you'll have to pay attention to YOU. Increase your calories slowly (so…

If you look at the scale often, do not be alarmed to see your weight temporarily increase. It is your body getting used to increased calories. Also, increase your calorie intake slowly (i.e. 200 calories more for a week or two then increase again) until you reach your desired amount. Less shock on your body plus a better…

First I applaud you all for making this difficult but not impossible change. I've been where you are all at and a year later feel great! 45 and loving it. Feel free to add me.
