You can add me if you like, I am British (although I don't live in the UK) and I log daily :)
-
^^^ exactly
-
so much this. I stalled for a long time before I finally started weighing my food and started losing again.
-
Oh honey....no.
-
Starving yourself will not "add weight". Otherwise no one would die during famines.
-
That's not true. http://www.wired.com/2012/10/mf-willpower/

I added you! I am 5'3" too and I like to have other ladies on my list who are a similar size :) I log everyday! Anyone is free to add me!
-
Agreed. The signs of physical abuse emerging are a massive warning bell.
-
me too!
-
HAHAHA I salute you, fellow brit.
-
Yes, I definitely am. I can workout at home, but I get a WAY better workout at a gym class. I find going really motivating and easy to keep in the habit of going.
-
I've lost two! Thank god. I couldn't fit into anything at my largest size and it looked really disproportionate!
-
Keep going! It often takes a month or so for the weight to actually start dropping. I know there are people (I'm one of them) who actually gain a bit of weight when starting a heavy exercise routine, but drop in inches regardless. Don't be disheartened.
-
I usually walk a lot although sometimes I have a really lazy day where I slob around in jogging bottoms and do nothing!
-
I basically had to start logging everything and make sure I had a bigger deficit than previously. Sad but true. Log absolutely everything and then when you know what your deficit is, increase it, say by 100 calories a day or so. I had to stop eating back any exercise calories. This is the only thing that worked for me.

I adore eggs. I would eat them every day for breakfast if I could be bothered to make them. My favourite way to have them is poached over buttered toast, perhaps with a bit of grated cheddar. Or scrambled with salmon or cheese. Or fried. :D

My entire thought while reading this thread. There are no words for the level of stupidity displayed here. Thank goodness there are some sane people around here to give smackdowns to idiots!

Fit into the next size down sports bra. And see my collarbone!
-
me too!

The fast diet works for me. It's about moderation, not deprivation.

swimming is great, this is what I did for a while when I twisted my ankle. you could also try rowing machines which give a good workout if you really go for it (although I find them v boring, maybe listen to an audio book or something!)
-
Yup!

This. OP, I recommend that you read through: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/975025-in-place-of-a-road-map-short-n-sweet And start again using the above principles. Most of all, it will take you longer than a week to see any change. Keep eating at a deficit for at least a month, then weigh yourself again. It took…

If you use the android app, that has a weekly net total, which I agree is far more useful than a day to day one. I don't know about the IOS app, maybe that has the same thing. I also note my weekly cals in a notebook and compare over months, which is really useful.

This is nonsense. Being able to pronounce ingredients has nothing to do with nutritional value.
-
YES. I used to love hummus. Now I can't usually fit it into my daily calories, although I do still eat it occassionally.
-
Yep. Also, even if I go absolutely crazy sometimes the overall calories don't look as bad as they are in my head. For example, this Monday, I did really badly and logged almost 3000 calories. Yet by careful planning the rest of the week I'm still going to be under my weekly goal. It's just better to know where you're at…

WHAT How can you *not* like diet coke.

BAHAHAHA And to the main post: BAHAHAHAHA
