I went back to work about 10 days after surgery.

So glad to see you progressing Rob! I don't have a two week check . I have one at a month. In our program we are not allowed to eat any eggs until 8 weeks out due to a lot of people getting blockages with it, so I'd thought I'd pass that on. Otherwise, way to go!

Or, as I used to do, down 16 oz of water in 30 seconds because I was thirsty. Now I have to realize that I will not DIE is I sip that water over a longer period.

I had the sleeve on the 2nd. You will do just fine. There are FANTASTIC DRUGS, so you get relaxed and then you do in, you fall asleep and then you wake up and go to your room to get, EVEN MORE DRUGS! It's very routine, and if you keep to what your doctor has said as a recovery regimen you should be fine. Much luck to you!

Oh also, this is weird, did anyone else feel this? The first day or so, I could feel my insides all moving around if I shifted from side to side. Was the most bizarre feeling ever. Of course it could have been the awesome morphine.

Oh good luck to you all! Yea, I am not really able to eat much food anyway, seems my pre op diet is totally awesome and I just don't feel like eating much. I tried ice cream last night and after two bites felt sick so didn't finish it. I also am terrified that I am going to gain weight and then the op will be canceled!!!

Rob, For my Surgery we actually only have two days of liquid diet. Tuesday I start an all liquid diet, and then Wednesday I will be on an all clear liquid diet. I've already surpassed my weight goal and my program says only two days are needed prior to surgery. How long has yours been? Elif Good luck Rob!

Clcesari, I have Kaiser and they have their own department specifically for WLS, and it's covered if you have a certain BMI. OF course you do have to pay some money, some for the exams(depending on your plan) and only $500 for the actually surgery. Not sure why your friends couldn't have the surgery through Kaiser.

Now have an appt. with the OR Nurse...things are moving along so fast...it's like a blur...I can't wait for this new chapter in my life.

I'm really loving the premier protein shakes you can get at Costco. 1 gram of sugar and like 30 grams of protein. You can get vanilla or chocolate.
