I lost about 50lbs and my hands and feet are always cold as well. Actually, as I'm typing this, my hands are freezing. It's normal, unfortunately.

I wish they had a cheeseburger emoji for a situation like this. I eat meat. Sorry, not sorry. That's really all he's concerned with. Sure, it's high in fat. It MAY lead to heart disease in the future. I also MAY get cancer, diabetes or have a heart attack. *kitten* happens. Your life choice doesn't have to be my life…

This! Except for the diet soda thing.

The only thing you can do is eat at a deficit. Unfortunately, the fat doesn't come off usually where we need it too but the more you lose, the smaller it will get in time. Eat right, exercise and be patient.

I'm a huge junk food person (Duh... I gained the weight somehow). I will devour fast food, cupcakes, ice cream, chips, soda and pizza like it's nothing. These last few months have been difficult (Winter always is for me) but I've just started not buying certain things. I don't buy soda. No one in my house really drinks it,…

I just got my Polar A300 on Saturday. It can sync with MFP but only on iOS. I have Android so I'm not able to sync mine but it's really not that big of a deal to me. The watch is pretty neat and shows your daily activity right on the screen. You can download the Polar Flow App and sync via Bluetooth to there as well. Good…

I usually bring Greek Yogurt, Apples with Peanut Butter, Baby Carrots/Celery, Protein Bars, String Cheese. You get the gist. Also, I don't know if you use Pinterest but I have found some really great lunch/snack ideas on there.

It sounds like you are truly doing your best. Don't stop what you're doing! The only way to gain weight is if you are eating in a surplus, meaning you're eating more calories than you're burning. You will lose as long as you remain in a deficit. Keep it up!

I was never thin but I was also never severely obese. Before I had my daughter, I weighed around 140lbs. Once I got pregnant, I thought that was an excuse to not care what I ate or how MUCH I ate since I was going to get fat anyway. Well, that was my mistake. I gained 40lbs during pregnancy, lost 20lbs within the first six…

Hello all! I'm 5'3", started at 188lbs after gaining weight when I was pregnant with my daughter and from just letting myself go. Down to 140lbs now with about 10lbs to goal. My profile picture shows the before and after. Keep up all of the great work!

Don't mind what other people think. I jog on a track field every single day, sometimes getting blown out of the water by the "extra fit" people who can run way faster than I ever could. You're doing something for yourself to make you happy. Not to mention, you don't know any of these people who look at you and they'll be…

Be patient is probably the best advice you can be given. It takes time for your body to change but just know that it will. If you're progressing, keep doing what you're doing. Come back to this post in another 5 months and see how much your body has changed since then. I guarantee it will if you continue to stay on track.…

Horrible, horrible idea. Eat at a defecit and exercise your butt off. You don't need to "jump start" your weight loss. If you really try this, you will do more damage than good to your body and any weight you lose will come right back. Slow and steady wins the race.

^ This made me literally laugh out loud....

Nice lunker!

Love me some Bass!

I really appreciate everyone's advice. There's a lot of good input here. My goal now is to log more accurately. Without truly knowing my activity level, I did switch back to sedentary for now which is 1,270 calories and I think I may eat just a portion of them back but definitely not all. The biggest concern for me was…

This is AWESOME! Thank you!

It sounds off, I know. That's because the first week I started 30DS, I lost 6 lbs off the bat. Then the following 3 weeks, nada. Just a little flucuating up and down but no real loss. Maybe I should change it back to Sedentary. Honestly, the activity level selections frustrate me. One person is like, "No, no. You're not…

Thank you for both of your posts! I actually did not know that I should WEIGH peanut butter instead of measuring it. I still have a lot to learn but this actually helped me a lot.
-
Thank you. I've read the Sexy Pants post about a dozen times, lol. As far as the peanut butter, the label says a serving size is 2 TBS at 190 calores. I only ate 1 TBS and yes, I measured it. Wouldn't that be only 90 calories since I ate half of the serving size?

1. Yes, I weigh ALL of my food. Religiously. I have a digital scale plus measuring cups so everything I eat gets weighed or measured. If I put down I'm eating 5 oz. of chicken breast, that's exactly what I make sure my scale reads. 2. Yes again. Aside from this past weekend when I was on vacation, I have tracked everything…

You could probably do secs and pizza at the same time, though it may not be sanitary. I'd do it because hey, YOLO! The nap sounds good though.

I'm sort of new to TDEE myself but I'm starting to understand it a little more. I'm 5'3", 152.4 lbs and I'm 23 years old. I selected 1-3 hours a wk of light exercise and my daily calories to lose fat - 20% reduction is 1,650. According to MFP, with a lightly active setting and my stats, it tells me 1,480 BUT that's not…

My daughter (she's 5) actually isn't the problem. My boyfriend is. He's ALWAYS trying to swipe my food and let me tell you, telling a 27 year old man no is MUCH harder than telling a 5 year old.
-
Definitely a hottie.

Love this!

Chicken Breasts are definitely easy to get some good protein. All I do is buy skinless, boneless chicken breast and sprinkle some pepper on it and throw it in the oven to bake for about 20 minutes. Once it's done, I cut it up and save it for lunch/dinner throughout the week. As for Protein shakes, that's another great…
