My Apple Watch since with MFP automatically and it doesn’t seem to take long at all. I think it syncs through the health app.

Welcome! I just started lazy keto yesterday.

2 cups of coffee w/ sugar and cream, grapes, almonds and a mini cheese wheel

Mine scolded me because the grapes I ate were high in saturated fat. LOL

I keep looking until I find an option that has grams. The database here has a ton of repeats, so keep looking.

I learned that my heart rate shoots up with very little effort. That worries me.

Yes, even though bananas have been tinkered with, I still think it is a healthier than a granola bar. And I recognize that there are healthy granola bars out there, but those are probably not offered in a cafeteria.
-
If you are relying on MFP's calorie counts and not a Heart Rate Monitor, then I suggest you only eat back a portion of your calories.
-
I'd go with the banana. IMO, fruits and veggies trump factory made foods, any day. I think it's silly for people to argue that a banana and a factory made granola bar have the same nutritional value. I agree that a calorie equals a calorie, but there is more to health than counting calories.

I imagine it would be different for everybody and would depend on if you ween yourself off or go cold turkey.

Congrats! That's one of my goals. My resting pulse is consistantly in the 80s. I'm 5'10 and 181 so I can't really blame it on being super overweight. I'm adding more cardio and less weights though because it's scaring me.

Isn't that the diet that landed Ashton Kutcher in the hospital?

GW2 is dead already? I haven't played it in awhile. I also play FFXIV! Balmung server.

I don't understand this logic. Is it a philosophical thing? Or are you unwilling to judge a certain food over another? I don't understand how someone can believe that no single food is more healthy than another. Surely we can agree that an apple is healthier than an oreo cookie. The apple is much more beneficial to the…

Judging from the pic in your ticker, i'm going to guess...Guild Wars 2?

To the OP: I suggest you find an eating plan that you agree with and follow that. Do not try to take nutrition advice from the people on this board because you will go nuts trying to decipher what everyone else believes. One person will tell you to eat clean while someone else will tell you to eat whatever you want as long…

I agree. My FitBook has this and I value it more than counting calories. I particularly want to make sure my fruit and veggie tally is maxed out.

I borrowed my co-workers juicer but only used it for a few days. The good: The juice was yummy and I felt a zing of energy after drinking it. The bad: Cleaning the juicer and it takes a long time to juice. I am an avid green smoothie drinker. The simplicity of making green smoothies ruined juicing for me, imo. To make a…

A good option for breakfast is to drink a green smoothie. You add more vegetables to your diet and you can supplement it with protein powder, greek yogurt or ground flax for protein. I cut my meat intake to 1 serving a day (or 7 a week; some days I have none and others I have 2 servings) and it has improved my general…

All joking aside, I think the first step is education. Sugar is in practically every processed food and most people, who do not read labels, do not know this. In addition to that, I firmly believe that sugary foods (i.e. candy, sodas etc) should not be sold in schools.

I'm in the same boat. Right now, I'm going to do sandwiches and fruit. Hopefully we can get some more ideas.

My first moment was a photograph of my mother-in-law, father-in-law and myself sitting on a couch. My mother-in-law is a thin woman but I looked like a giant compared to her. I even looked bigger than my father-in-law who is not a small man by any means. I was mortified, but consoled myself with the fact that I had just…

You can do it! I'm kind of in the same boat. I feel like I'm thinner than I really am. I look at myself in the mirror (clothed) and I look thin, but I have an overweight BMI, a 37 inch waist and wear a size 12/14. I can't be thin, but my eyes are tricking me.

I'm a mother of three and work full time. Eating a healthy diet is fairly easy for me. It's fitting in the exercise that's hard.

Not usually, though I did preach to a coworker last week. He had eaten 2 doughnuts that day, had just polished off a cheese bagel and immediately got up to get his third doughnut. I just couldn’t hold my tongue. Fortunately, we are on friendly terms.

I also dance to Just Dance 4 for my cardio. One way to get some strength training in during your workout is to do squats and lunges between songs. I only dance to certain songs and while I select my next song (I use the Xbox controller to avoid any Kinect confusion), I do lunges or squats. By the end of my workout, I’m…

After reading this post, I tried to put myself in the rude person's shoes. What would cause me to say such a rude comment? I've seen plenty of people jiggle in the gym and it barely registers. The only way I would say something is if I was talking about a celebrity that has recently gained weight. I know, petty of me, but…

They probably weren't referring to you. Don't let it get to you and definitely don't let her comment make you self conscious.

Saving for later. Good job, everyone!

After 3 kids (2 C sections) my belly area is pretty bad. I will never wear a bikini. But I haven't given up because having a fit body means more than wearing belly baring clothes. It means not having that muffin top. It means looking cute in a pencil skirt or form fitting dress. It means wearing slim jeans with a form…
