  • Welcome and Good Luck!
  • I've recently quit my peanut butter habit. I tried moderation, but I kept finding myself craving it so much. I haven't had peanut butter butter for about 5 weeks, and It's really helped me keep my calories down (and my sanity)
  • MFP has a My Foods Section, so you could input the recipe and then what fraction of the total recipe you ate. You could also measure out your portions separately (could be easier to do with things like pasta, chicken, rice, ect)
  • I totally know the feeling, I've been on and off dieting for a year or two now. Just remember to take it one day at a time, and if you derail, just try to get back on the train as soon because every day that you stick to it is another day you're losing weight!
  • Congratulations on your results! I agree that the number on the scale shouldn't always be the focus. I think it really depends on how much you weigh, because if you're extremely over weight, scale numbers can be very useful (although measurements can also be motivating) What I'm planning on doing is getting a body fat…
  • You probably changed one of the settings. On the mobile version, I know it's possible to manually set your calories, there's probably a way to do that on this site too.
  • Sounds really good! I'll have to try it after I'm done with my 3 months of no peanut butter!
  • I agree with you about the food marketing. Also, in my personal opinion, the serving sizes on boxes need to be changed to be more accurate. I did a very interesting experiment about a year ago, instead of estimating my portion sizes, I measured them out. I realized that instead of having one 3/4 cup serving of cereal, I…
  • Well, I don't think you could exactly call M&Ms "health foods", but yes, pretty much... I've noticed even in my own life, that I'll eat a bit more frozen yogurt than I should (because it's healthy) and things like that. Low fat, low sugar, pretty much low-anything foods can give you a sense that they're healthier, and some…
  • It is called the Master Cleanse, and it's not the best plan because it can kill your metabolism if you're on it for too long. I don't know how effective it is for "cleansing" your body, but as a diet, it sucks because as soon as you start eating, the weight will usually go back on. If you do it for maybe a day or two, it…
  • If my binge cravings get really bad, sometimes I will just lock myself in my room with my computer and watch something on Hulu or go on Facebook, just to take my mind off food. Another thing that works pretty well is brushing your teeth after you are done eating a meal. Food and toothpaste taste really bad together, so…
