  • So I went and ran in the snow...3.1 miles in 38 minutes and then continued to walk 1.1 miles. 4.2 miles altogether. I am almost close to my mini goal of 135 lbs, I think I might reach it tomorrow.
  • So I ran 3.1 miles yesterday in under 40 minutes in 28 degree weather. I was hoping for about 36 minutes but I wore too many layers and overheated. So I ended up having to stop and take off a few layers. I then walked an additional 1.1miles for a total of 4.2 miles!!! I burned over 550 calories!! Are we starting a new…
  • FAFS SW: 138 FAFS CW: 136 -2 lbs!!!!!!!
  • I am 22 and would love to join. My weight yesterday was 136.2. My next mini goal is 135 but my overall goal is 120. I am getting married in May 2010 and would really love not to put on a size 16 dress that day. Count me in!!
  • Welcome! I am 22 years old and struggled with my weight when I was a teenager and lost a lot of it then. I ended up gaining much of it back when I got to college but that is another story. I would recommend carrying healthy snacks with you every where you go. I found that having pieces of fruit in my purse was very…
  • So I didn't eat real well yesterday with staying home all day to do homework. But the scale didn't move which is great! I have missed my exercise for the past few days - I have been super busy with the end of the semester right around the corner. I am eatting my usual breakfast: 1/2 cup of Quaker Oatmeal made with 1/2 cup…
  • I am suppose to be working on my final exam for one of my courses. It has to be minimum 3 pages but my professor said she would like 5 to cover all of the details. It is stressing me out so bad and all I keep thinking about is eatting cookies. I just feel like crying
  • I would use ground turkey, low sodium spaghetti sauce, low sodium broth, and a low fat cheese. Not sure if it would make a huge difference but those are a few things for the sodium and fat.
  • I have eatten all the food that I planned so far. I have felt very full all day and haven't had any cravings! Dinner is up in the air until I get home - probably left overs. I have had 4 glasses of water so far today and am still drinking. I plan on doing TurboJam tonight after I complete my final exam and revise some…
  • You will be able to get to 3 miles with no problem. I ran my first 5K back in July and have another scheduled for the 13th of this month. My only advice would be to pace yourself at the beginning of the race. I took off and did under a 10 min mile for the first mile and wore myself down and my last mile was in 16 minutes.…
  • Most tracks at schools are 1/4 mile so you would have completed 2 1/4 miles. That is a great time!! I love running outside for the same reason...time goes by a lot faster. When I am on the treadmill I have the terrible habit of constantly looking down at the time and distance.
  • Congrats to your son!!!! That is amazing!
  • So I slept great!! I ate oatmeal for breakfast. I also made a smoothie from light n fit yogurt, frozen strawberries, and 1/2 banana. This will be my morning snack at work. I am seeing a change in the scale which feels amazing. Once I hit my mini goal of 135 I will change it to 130. I feel so motivated and energized lately…
  • MY GLASS OVERFLOWED!!!! :drinker: I drank 10 glasses of water today. Way more than I was hoping for! My goal was 4. Hope everyone had a healthy day and get some great rest!!!
  • I love running outside, I feel that it is so much easier. However, with the rain and even nastier weather approaching Michigan I am back to the treadmill. I am headed to the basement to run 2 miles for the day!!!
  • Thanks for the tip! I use to drink 64 - 72 oz of water each day but just got away from it. I was constantly having to get up and go to the bathroom. I am working real hard to drink more because I know it is so good for me.
  • So I am right on track with my calories for the day and I drank 2 glasses of water so far. Hoping for at least 2 more :drinker:
  • I would recommend eatting some yogurt...very nutritional.
  • I woke up late missing my 2 mile run. I am going to have to get this in tonight after a long day of work and school. Plus side I did have my planned oatmeal for breakfast  I am going to pack the yogurt as a snack because I didn't eat it with breakfast. I am also hoping to stop at the store and pack up on some fresh…
  • So I got a super quick workout in with some TurboJam AbJam. Now time for bed. My personal goal for tomorrow is to drink at least 4 glasses of water because I have only been drinking about 1 glass a day....bad I know.
  • So it is almost midnight, I went over on my calories :grumble: and I still need to get my workout in for the day (which will technically be tomorrow :noway: ) I am still working on homework and not sure when I am going to get it finished. I have already planned breakfast and lunch for tomorrow...breakfast: 1/2 cup of…
  • So I was under on my calories today just a little and I didn't eat my exercise calories. I felt full all day after my big breakfast of oatmeal and yogurt. I did 20 min of TurboJam and some crunches. I planned out an exercise routine for the rest of the week. I am hoping that I stay this motivated all week. I definately…
  • Congrats for exercising over an hour! Keep up the great work!
  • I believe it is super important to switch up your workouts. Not only does it keep you from getting bored but keeps you from hitting a plateau. I only have one DVD with Jillian and that is the Biggest Loser Cardio DVD. It is a great DVD but super exhausting, great calorie burn! I didn't hear very good reviews on Jillian's…
  • I love TurboJam!! I got in quite a few years ago. They have come out with another newer series now but the old ones are just as good. The series is by Beachbody (I believe the same company that makes P90X). It has a lot of kicks, punching, and some ab work. It is very upbeat...burns lots of calories but not too difficult…
  • Thank you for the warm welcome! I am very excited to get back on track with my eatting and exercise. I have been on track with my eatting all day and plan on doing TurboJam later this evening once I am completed with my hw. I hope that everyone had a great healthy day!
  • I would love to join this group. I am 5 ft tall and weigh 138 as of today. I really need to use lose about 20 lbs by May 2010. Any motivation would be great!
  • Congrats on joining MFP. I totally understand the motivation issue. I have found that you have to find the motivation within yourself. You have to find why you want to lose weight...health, vacation, family... Currently it is feeling beautiful on my wedding day and wearing a bikini on my honeymoon. We are all here to help.
  • Thank you for all of the advice!!
