  • i just posted about starting this program (i've tried and failed before). Id love to join your group!
  • Thank you all! I know its about what I put into it and everyone's results vary, but its so encouraging to hear your successes with it. Im ready to get started! Hoping I can make myself get up just a few minutes earlier of a morning to get it done! Again, thank you!
  • Thank you!! I think the reason I never stuck with it before is that I needed something "fun" to get me going. Well, I've found that with zumba, but I also enjoy doing things like pushups, lunges and squats, so that's why I am thinking its time to give 30ds another try. I didn't enjoy that type of thing when i tried it…
  • i have the FT4 and love it. The strap is adjustable and I dont find it uncomfortable. Sometimes when I first put it on it takes a few minutes to find the right position, but then i forget its there.
  • This is my third week of zumba and I've just started wearing my HRM. I weigh 133 and am 5'0" and i burned 366 cals in 45 minutes last night, and 432 cals in the 52 minutes of the class before.. So i think it is definitely possible. I think it depends on how hard you push and the routine too. Our instructor has a few…
  • anyone??
  • I am a working mom of a (almost) 3 year old. I have and am still struggling to find what works. I know getting up early would work, but i just can't make myself do it. My mom and I joined our local gym yesterday, they have childcare so that was the only reason i signed up. Started doing zumba last night. I'm just trying to…
  • I have big calves too. I would love to wear some pretty boots, but I can't find any that fit! I'm hoping that with the c25k i will not only tone, but lose the fat that surrounds my calves... sorry, that was no help at all lol
  • Planning on it being my first 5k in Tulsa in April! Can't wait!
  • Well, I have been horrible. I haven't been on the treadmill in a little over a week!! I'm going to repeat week 3 and hopefully stay on track. The Color Run is coming to my town in April so I think I'm going to register for it and maybe that'll help keep me motivated! I wanted to do it last summer but it filled up before I…

  • I did week 2 day 2 last night. I was really feeling it. I made it through though. I think a lot of it had to do with my diet the last 2 days...very little water or good nutrition...I need to get that back on track.

  • Awesome!! I hopt to be a runner someday. I just started c25k, thanks for the motivation!
  • being out of breath is my biggest problem too. I try to really focus on proper breathing, but i'm so out of shape I know its just something I'll have to keep doing and it'll get better. I think I'm going to do some of my turbo jam dvd's too, to incorporate more cardio.

  • If you have a smartphone there is an app for c25k it tells you when to walk and when to jog. I'm sure you could probably print a schedule online too. I am set to finish week 1 tonight. I'm a little nervous to go into week 2 bc 60 seconds of jogging has been hard for me. I'll give it a try and I'll give week one another…

  • week 1 day 2 done! (yesterday) I made it through all the jogging sections with minimal breaks. Still trying to find a comfortable pace, and I need to learn how to breath better. But I am really liking checking in with you guys, keeps me going! How is everyone today?

  • today will be week 1 day 2 for me. Day 1 was hard and I skipped 2 of the "jogging" parts. Hoping to make it the right way today. What pace are you guys doing during each section? just out of curiosity. I am walking at 3.0 and jogging at 4.4. I know that's not fast or anything, but I have short legs and am a beginner, so…

  • I'm really bad at posting on here, maybe a challenge will keep me going. I was planning on starting monday anyway! I'm hoping to reach my goal by 28, which is feb 2013. Starting weight:139 mini goal: 130 (Prepregnancy weight, baby is 16 months...) Goal weight: 115-120 Once I reach 120 I'll see how i look/feel and decide if…
  • I've been having an Oikos greek yogurt, honey flavored. Its my new night time addiction. And it is pretty high in protein so I don't wake up starving.
  • I kind of agree. I agree that eating fresh food is healthier than canned/processed food. But yes, the calorie deficit is what matters for weight loss. I also know that you can be skinney and still unhealthy because of what you put in your body. One of my very best friends died this time last year. She was 27 years old and…
  • i made my first one last night too, and this was my exact question for facebook! lol I baked mine in a glas dish with about an inch of water for 45 minutes at 350 and it was crunchy. I wasn't sure if it was right either. I liked it though! I topped it with some marinara and fresh grated parmesan cheese. YUM! having…
  • i've been drinking protein shakes as breakfast for a long time now. The arbonne is by far my favorite. It doesn't have that funny aftertaste like some, and I'm not choking it down, I actually enjoy it! And it's vegan and sweetened with stevia. I can't say I've really gotten results bc i've been drinking my breakfast for…
  • I did a month challenge of chocolate shakeology. I didn't feel any different. BUT I have been using supplement shakes for years now. I thought the taste was awful, especially for the price. I would definitely suggest getting a sample packet first. I am drinking the Arbonne shakes now. I like both chocolate and vanilla. And…
  • I'm on week 3 of turbo jam! I love it! It's a lot of fun which to me is important to keep with it! There are several different workouts so you can pick what you want. you should try it!
  • I have the same problem...MAJOR sweet tooth. Be aware of sugar substitutes though, they may be low cal/no cal but they are really bad for you. I've tried cold turkey and it does not work for me. So I'm trying to give myself small doses lol.. instead of a 44oz sweet tea, I just get a small, or instead of a snickers i'll get…
