I would plan ahead and make everything ahead, even if there's not a refrigerator you could take a cooler and keep it topped up with ice. Call ahead to the hotel and ask them what's in the room, ie fridge microwave? The info may even be online. If there's a microwave, you could make meals and freeze them before you go, that…

Your body will tell you how much you can or can't do (so listen carefully) Don't try and push it too much too soon, or you will pay for it for a few days with aches and pains) My advice would be to get pro active now with meal planning. Maybe cook up so low cal/fat meals and freeze in portions so that it's easy for you or…

Is it a pretty dress? Do you like it? If so, why not get it altered to fit you, or even just have someone pin in the back for a pic, so you can do a before and after pic in the same dress.

Olive oil is always the best, but even with olive oil there are choices. Extra virgin is the best. this is taken from the first pressing of the olives. But I always go for light (this doesn't mean light on calories) it's a lighter color and flavor.

Are you sure it isn't some water coming from the marinara at the bottom, you are already using very lean lean I don't see how it would leave fat in the bottom

I can give you my recipe but I put rolled oats i it, so it isn't low carb. I would suggest buying different ground turkey, I get 93% fat free from Costco, (I'm sure other supermarkets must sell it) so there's hardly any oil to start with and I have never noticed it in the pan after cooking.

I wanted to deep fry cod in batter, and was wondering the same thing last week. I found a web site ......... According to Federation of Fish Fryers cod in batter is 200 cals per 3.5 oz For frying anything else, an accurate way to do this would be Weigh the raw food Measure out the oil you think you will need and put in in…

Thank you for writing this, I was beginning to wonder if my scar/stitching was normal. I have fat below and above the scar, and a belly to go with it, even when I've been overweight my belly was always pretty flat, now it's my biggest problem, it's going down now I have lost a bit of weight, but it's p____ing me off!!!

I don't take lunch to work, but I weigh out my salad dressings each week, so that I don't have to weigh or measure each time I have a salad. My friend had a baby, and I use some of the old baby food jars, they are just right, glass not plastic (which I like) screw tops and they go in the dishwasher. I put the jar on the…

I was looking at a low fat 'pie' recipe yesterday, the only problem with it being.......you guessed it, there wasn't actually any pie there! The definition of a pie includes pastry, so how can they call it a pie? How about a pile of fruit in a bowl.

I'm right with you on this one, I thought it was just me being anal about stuff. I've got to the point when I like the look of a recipe, I work out the cals myself. Even all the variations on MFP bug me. It's hard enough sticking to this without extra aggravation.

OH MY WORD.....you look fabulous! Congratulations, what an inspiration, please write a book, I love reading these stories. Did you keep the big dress in the pic? Just a thought, but you could get a new photo taken in the same dress, just get someone to pin it in the back for the photo, to pull in the surplus. Any tips?

How about buying fresh fruit in season, puree them in a blender, and freeze into ice cube trays? Then you can add ice fruit cubes to your tea.

I so have to try these ideas. Zumba, do you have a recipe, like how much oil to fry etc?

You are very lucky, do you want to share your Dad with me? ha ha! How lovely to have free.....free range food, so healthy and much tastier. I love mango salsa from Costco with salmon, to cook salmon I just bake in the oven for about 15 ins depending on the size of the piece, and either coat with blackening seasoning or a…

You we can tell a difference for sure. You bring up a good point here; how we perceive ourselves is not realistic.
