Tried to make the super popular Keto "Phat Fudge" - OMG it was horrible. I was SO disappointed!!! I have no idea what I did wrong, I followed the recipe exactly, and it was positively inedible.

Step it Up Sept, huh. OK! Well I have a pretty low step number as my goal, only 6,000, and sometimes I don't make it (although those tend to be days when I'm still quite active just not in a step-oriented way). So my Step It Up goal is going to be to meet or beat 7500 every single day for the rest of this month, starting…

Let me just vent for a minute: There are still 4 hours until my blood draw and dammit, I'm hungry and lacking in caffeination. Grump, grump, grump.

just one????? hmmm. How about a whole class of foods: Shellfish. Although I can handle shrimp (only when breaded and deep fried though so they're off the menu now). But no clams, oysters, mussels, scallops... :confounded:

I requested you :)

oh I didn't mean to piss on things LOL. I look forward to your morning posts too, you're one of the few who is up when I am hahaha!! I just don't have it in me today is all

Same in my neck of the woods - September is our hottest month, high 100s to low 110s for days and days and days on end
-
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm nah. I tore it up yesterday. And have a headache and lack of sleep today. And it's supposed to be over 100 again. I have lots of excuses; I'll tear it up tomorrow ;)

I have the Precision Xtra, I like it very well and it is one of the most recommended ones among blood ketone meters, but I have never used any other so have nothing else to compare it against. I have to pay cash for the strips and they're flipping ridiculously expensive (even open box on eBay)

how much fat are you getting at your other meals? If I don't get enough fats at lunch, I get super snacky when I'm supposed to be cooking dinner; and if I don't get enough at dinner, I get even more super snacky (like inhale ALL THE THINGS!!!!!!!) but if there was enough fat with my meals then it doesn't happen. (*most…

haha, it's "oh crap school's back on tomorrow, where did the weekend go?!? Guess I'd better do some laundry" Sunday here ;) And my husband is coming home. And I have an 8-hour roast to put in the crockpot at 9 And my son wants me to take him to the thrift store, he needs more shorts! (*correction, he wants to drive, I just…

Too bad I didn't take a "Before" pic - you couldn't even step over the threshold it was so packed with crap... but here's a "during" pic and 2 "Afters"

haha, yeah pretty much! Anyone anywhere can sign up, then you complete it sometime between the dates specified, on your own (or with a group that you put together) and at your own pace, photograph your finish time (whether it's treadmill, GPS app, watch, etc) and then proudly wear your medal. Because they don't have to pay…

my husband comes home from his business trip tomorrow! I'm working hard to make sure he's absolutely shocked at how productive I've been LOL. I cleaned up the garage (not sparkling but 110% better than it was), I cleaned out the hall closet this morning and am working on organizing it with shelving today; I moved a bed…

wow! It always seems like most people have never heard of Murrieta - heck, we're lucky if they've heard of Temecula LOL
-
Sheesh, all you Lower Mainlanders and Vancouver Islanders! I was born and grew up on a farm just across the Alderwood border crossing, near Lynden WA. Lived there 28 years before moving to California.
-
I'm about 45 min north of San Diego, CA, in Murrieta.

I thought I hated stevia until I tried Sweet Leaf. I'd tried two or three different liquids, and the crazy super concentrated powder too and it was always just so bitter. But the Sweet Leaf is different (dunno how, but it is). So that might be worth a shot, especially with the coupon code above.

Sugar Free Mom has a recipe for fathead pizza that is nut-flour free, she uses coconut flour instead because her son is allergic to tree nuts - http://www.sugarfreemom.com/recipes/grain-free-nut-free-low-carb-pizza/

hey GUESS WHAT. OK two things. 1) I registered for the Carlsbad Half Marathon yesterday. YIKES, that makes it real and official and stuff. My first official race with people (I've done virtual races before but never raced in a crowd!) B) I got over 5 hours last night! Hallelujah! I feel mostly human again!

I'd also like to toss out a "what can it hurt to up it even more for 2-4 days and see if it does help?" You can always back off again if it doesn't, but it is such a simple fix if it is the problem I fail to see why you wouldn't try it.
-
ooh thanks, I registered!

I'm so glad to hear it went well! Here's hoping your boss is accommodating. I have to turn up the brave today - I have a dentist appointment at 9. I hate the dentist worse than almost anything else on the planet. MASSIVE anxiety (I take valium and have someone else drive, in order to cope with a cleaning). Ugh.

I experienced an episode of severe gut pain after about 3 days of very low carbs (under 20g/day) last week... my doctor's theory was that I was not eating enough carbs for proper bowel function, and I was instructed to eat 60g+/day for 3-4 days to test it. It worked, I think, now I'm down to 30g/day again for the past 3…
