I wish I could get my husband to care. :( I worry about him, in spite of losing 65ish pounds doing lazy low carb (roughly 100g/day is his target), in the last like 18 months or so, he cheats with carbs frequently.

9/10 - may get a couple more in the next 20 min but I'm calling this my "official" Goal: 8,000 Actual: 13,207

So awesome! Well done, indeed.

The database is regulated so you don't have to triple-check entries across several platforms - that's the biggest thing The trackers tab (not sure if that's a paid feature or not) allows tracking of oodles of things - ketones, glucose, blood pressure and on and on - and they have a diabetes module too I find it easy to…

A lot of folks on my Facebook groups use Carb Manager and like it. I prefer MyNetDiary over MFP for sure. I also have and like KetoDietBasic for my phone it has a ton of recipes. Not free though. Also I'm not sure if it's available on Android or only iPhone.

That's really the best news I've read recently. Congrats to you, my friend!!

For anyone who wants to move away from MFP "BabbleBitching" about not eating enough (love the term btw), you may consider the free version of My Net Diary. There isn't a diary completion function, so there's no "competition" or "bragging rights" feeling and no "Must Eat To Satisfy This *kitten* Computer Program" - and…

Made it past my goal again yesterday. Not sure I will today, because Holy Headache!!
-
huh,, i had BG reading of 60 this morning right before my breakfast chai tea. thought it was kind of on the low side. It went up to 85 within 10 min of finishing the tea and then settled down to 78 at 1hp-pp and 74 by 2h-pp. I'm not in the diabetic family of folks at all, I just have BG test strips that expire next month…

second Panache, only thing that worked for me when I was in a 38H. Panache 5052 is the model, around $68, i buy them on Amazon and sometimes get them cheaper. Even now that I've lost most of my boobage I still prefer the Panache.

Beat my goal into the ground on 9/8...

I thought what I'd do to Step It Up is not only to meet (or beat) my step goal daily, but to "step up" my goal each week as well. So since last week my goal was 7500 steps a day, this week it will be 8,000. I'm well on my way today already!
-
I can't even believe I made my step goal yesterday. But I did!
-
barely squeaked in my steps today but I knew it would be a light day. Just proud of myself for getting it done!

I get to go get my mouth fixed today. finally! This has been the longest long weekend EVER. Normally I'm a huge dentist wuss, the anxiety I have around the dentist is borderline ridiculous and completely through the roof but I'm actually looking forward to going to day if it means I will finally be out of pain. (which is…

@nvmomketo he had stacks all up and down the beach, probably a 300 yard stretch. Stacks of big rocks like those, stacks of tiny ones, just everywhere. Maybe 25-30 stacks. It was pretty cool.

@MyriiStorm - Keto Garlic Gnocchi The Primitive Palate | Serves 2 Gather* 2 cups shredded Mozzarella (Low-Moisture Part-Skim - this is a MUST otherwise it will fall apart when boiled! I find Kraft to work the best!) * 3 egg yolks * 1 tsp granulated garlic * butter & olive oil for sautéing Prepare* Place cheese and garlic…

Pretty close - we live about 35 min from this beach.

Hubby and I walked along the beach at Oceanside today - look what we saw!

I like this article about IIFYM with regard to Keto: If It Fits Your Macros. It's liable to offend, but it's still worth the read. Edit: This one is also very good: Is it Keto or Not? Keto is a very specific thing, that is easy to get muddled up, so for me this particular article was helpful.
-
I suppose you do also need to take into account your low carb/keto WHY. What I mean is, if your sole goal is weight loss, then you can get away with a more IIFYM approach but if your goal is for something like diabetes management or pain control, then ANY banana no matter how little, probably isn't going to fit into that…

7500? Nah... 12,127 steps yesterday!
-
I don't have a super awesome grasp of it myself but from what I understand, the ideal range of betahydroxybutyrate (the blood ketone) is 0.5-3.0 mmoL (per Phinney/Volek) so what that shows is that I'm firmly in ketosis even though my pee sticks aren't showing ketones anymore - I'm surprised because I have had some bad days…

Are you even kidding me?! I did the same thing yesterday. Even same kind of soup. Freaky!

Good morning!! I'm sorry your day started wet and gross, I've been there. About the smell... I think it must be a boy thing. My much older son has an immature bladder and still occasionally wets and OMG. It's gag worthy, so so so bad. Of course he is usually fairly dehydrated too so that just adds to it. Today is the…

9/3/16 - Goal: 7500 steps Actual: 12,743 steps

I'm also part of that group and doing the Scaleless September challenge. Nearly messed it up this morning out of sheer zombie-like habit but I caught myself in time!
-
well yesterday was a smashing success - my goal was 7500 steps and instead I crushed out 12,348! WITH an abscessed tooth!
-
I can't wait for 7am - my dentist's office will be open and I can call for pain relief for this stupid effing tooth pain. I can't even believe how much this hurts, way out of proportion to the work that was done. I have to wonder what else is going on that they missed in there???
