  • I'm a big fan of the new Mini Delights microwavable "cakes". They're only 150 calories a piece. I also love the Special K rasberry and chocolate bars (90 calories). Sometimes I can keep it under wraps by sucking on a hard candy. I don't know the calorie count, but I will also fill a chocolate pie crust with fat free…
  • Love the one where she's sitting in the heart.
  • Oh man!! I am such a math nerd - I just wanna answer it hahahaha
  • I burn about 150 in 15 mins.
  • Do your best to eat before you go. Have a salad and soup. Something to fill you up so that you don't overdue it at dinner. Dieting isn't about deprivation, but it is about portion control. Look for a restaurant that posts their menu and nutrional values online. Decide ahead of time what you are going to eat and do your…
  • I focus on at least 30 mins of cardio 3 times a week. Instead of doing random weight excercies, try to come up with a routine that targets key muscles. After weight training, I like to end with 15 mins of cardio on the eliptical usually. I also enjoy doing yoga on my more "quiet" days. Once you've built up some stamina,…
  • If you haven't and can, confide in a friend or family member. Sometimes people aren't as aware of our struggles as we think they are. Look for some all natural mood boosting methods such as excercise, yoga, or a supplement like St Johns Wort. Keep a journal. Try to figure out what is overwhelming you ... it's your life and…
  • Although I'm not yet a runner, I have found this helpful... http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_3/181.shtml
  • I love having a fondue night. Instead of cheese or oil, cook with a vegetable broth. Put out plenty of veggies, chicken, shrimp, etc. Start the night out with a pretty salad - add fruit or nuts to dress it up. If you want to end with something sweet you can make a dark chocolate fondue and use fruit as your dipper.
  • When I get to the gym I prefer to end with cardio. I spend about 30-45 mins circuit training and wrap up with 15-30 mins of cardio. On days that I'm not incorporating weights I try to do at least 30 mins of cardio. I find ending with cardio to be a great way to stretch everything out after using weights and I find my…
  • I absolutely love it. I use it regularly and definitely see results from it.
  • 190 calories in Tastefully Simple Potato Cheddar Soup and super easy to make... http://www.tastefullysimple.com/Cultures/en-US/Products/ProductList.htm?CatalogNavigationBreadCrumbs=ClientCatalog;BreadsSoupsSides&ShowTop=true. Not too shabby.
  • A heart rate monitor (HRM) is great for determining your calories. Check out Polar for one. There is also the Bugg which is used on the Biggest Loser to track calories, etc. I tend to go by what the elliptical at the gym says since it is factoring in resistance, age, etc.
  • I make these in a muffin pan that holds 12 muffins. I consider 2 egg cups a serving and I calculated it to be 68 Cal 4 Carbs 2 Fat 10 Protein Use a dash of red hot if you want a little spice. The orginal recipe called for egg beaters and fat free cheddar so feel free to substitute.
  • Yes, egg beaters definitely works. Just skip the milk. I'd say you'd be using 1-1.5 c of egg beaters.

  • I really like Jillian Micheals book Making The Cut. Great workouts. I like to encorporate yoga into my weekly workouts as well.
  • Mix 4 egg whites and 2 whole eggs with 1/2 c skim milk, 1 cup chopped spinach (drained if frozen), 1/3c fat free crumbled feta cheese, black pepper to taste. Spray muffin/cupcake pan with non-stick spray. Spoon mixture evenly into tray. Bake for 18 mins at 375. Loosen and cool. Freeze (2 to a bag) and reheat in microwave…
  • I have no idea... it's call 'The 4 Day Diet'... http://www.amazon.com/Day-Diet-Ian-K-Smith/dp/0312373589
  • I'm not much for fad diets, but I really am trying to look my best for this wedding I'm attending next month. The 4 day diet caught my eye and I'm wondering if anyone has tried it?
  • Love Shape magazine!
  • Hungry Girl by Lisa Lillien and The Best Life Diet. I previously had success with the South Beach diet as well.
  • Wii games, playing with my dogs, quad or motorcycle riding, and (not so much a hobbie, but a chore) the ever-present housework ;-)
  • Slipping up for a day or two will not undue weeks, months, or years of hard work. You're human, it happens. What will set you apart is whether or not you get back on track. For plenty of people it takes weeks and sometimes months to see results, but generally, when you do see them, they start coming fast and furious.…
  • I've cooked kielbasa in broth and added broccoli and baby carrrots. Serve that with some spicy mustard - delicious!
  • If you haven't already purchased it, I highly recommend - "Eat this, Not That - Hungry Girl". It has a ton of great recipes that you can use to replace those everyday foods you crave! It puts an emphasis on calories, so you can be sure you're eating great low-cal meals. A definite 5 star book :-)
  • I'd try to cut back on the sugars (no fruits after morning) and carbs. Up your fiber and protein. Maybe even introduce a fiber supplement into your day. I find an egg white omlette (3 eggs) with fresh spinach, tomato, and fat free feta cheese, with a piece of whole grain toast (with peanut butter or cream cheese) to be…
  • I prefer looking at a horribly unflattering picture of myself... or flipping through the bikini ads - reminds me of how I'll feel when summer rolls around ;-)
