  • Don't know if its been already mentioned here cuz I didn't read through all the posts but for outside running one thing that I do is to kind of notice where my breathing is. I know what I feel like on a treadmill so I try to find that outside too. Also, with apps like map my run you can get audible cues of your pace at…
  • They have a product out right now, I believe its called ripped cream. Its protein powder for the most part and I think its like 90 cals for 2 tbsp. I believe they have a couple different flavors and dissolves pretty nicely in hot coffee.
  • I always used to have trouble with the whole breathing thing too. As has been said here just slow down our pace a bit until you feel comfortable there. Then work on your speed. It used to be if I even heard myself breathing while I ran it bugged me. So I just turned the music up in my earphones lol. But what it comes down…
  • When I was going through c25k I was using no incline and walk/run was 3.5/5.0 . After completing the program, Ive been just trying to change little things here and there to see what I can do. I went up to 6 on the run and found I was getting too tired to finish 5k so I adjusted back down to 5.8 just last night and had the…
  • For me, Ive tried to run outside in the beginning of the c25k program over the summer. Was progressing a bit along the way up until about week 5. Seemed to struggle alot from then on. Had a couple non running related injuries too so that made it even worse. Recently started back at my local YMCA and have been running on a…
  • Ok as a guy I feel like I can say this. And btw, sorry guys but you have to agree with me on this. Sometimes we just are stupid. I realize there are also women that fit this category too but yes us fellas just dont think of what we're doing. We get the "grass is greener over there" syndrome and go on our merry way. And…
  • Im just thankful that we didnt have a really cold winter this year because since taking off this weight, even despite the milder winter Ive been freezing my butt off!!! I seriously dont know what I would have done If it had been colder it was that bad! But thank the Lord that Ive been able to lose that warming layer of fat…
  • One of the most STUPIDEST statements I think Ive ever heard. Bravo to you for not having one in your house!!!!
  • ^^^^That made me smile and yes I was just thinking about this yesterday. Its funny what you start to discover about yourself as those layers come off. I actually have bigger hip bones than I thought. Well, not really its just that I can feel and see them now =)
  • BUMP!!!!!!!
  • Just got into week 4 yesterday and I dont know really. I think its kinda both for me. But Im learning to pace myself more so I can somewhat control the breathing. It was pretty warm here yesterday so Im thinking that played into a bit of my issues. Friday, I did 2 week 3 workouts and overall felt pretty good but legs were…
  • ^^^Yep me too...trying to work on pace right now and that has helped me tremendously in my runs!!!!

  • Benefiber has these little flavored packets that you can add to bottled water and that works pretty well. Theres also a pretty good line of Fiber One products out there. They have cereal and snack bars that have a pretty good amount of fiber in them and they taste pretty good too. Salads always help too obviously as well…
  • Fantastic job and love the smile =)
  • GREAT ADVICE ^^^^^^^^^
  • Remember its not a sprint here. Your changing A lifestyle. Do yourself a favor and put the scale away and only pull it out once a week. Weighing daily will get you down, as its doing right now. And yes, keep walking!! Keep moving! Get that heart rate up! Challenge yourself to do more, both in diet and in exercise. Get to…
  • ABSOLUTELY AGREE ^^^^^
  • Ive been noticing you've been kicking your workouts into high gear. And from the looks of things, its paying off for ya. Great to see that others are noticing your hard work too =)
  • Here's just a couple of ideas. First, If you've been going to the gym regularly for a while take a week off or even two. Stick to your cals as close as possible and eat clean. After that week or two off go back to the gym and start trying to incorporate more high intensity exercise. If your spending more than an hour to an…
  • "Dear Lord dont let me die on this treadmill!!!"
  • You dont drink much water do you?? I wouldnt go into panic mode yet. Your not very far into this at all. Get your footing here and calm the heck down lol. You'll be ok. No need to goo making a whole bunch of changes just yet. Your body is adjusting to this change so just do what you do. Eat right and exercise and drink…
  • I have heard of people who have had kidney stones because of too much protein yes. If your only 112 lbs I dont see why you would need 150g's of protein. If your doing killer workouts everyday involving alot of lifting maybe I would consider it. I guess it all depends on what/how your body is handling it, your diet, and…
  • Wow....you look great and the little one is a cutie too =) Keep up the great work and Im glad that your feeling better!
  • Sounds to me like you already have your answer. I dont think you can measure your workout by sweat alone. If you dont feel like your challenging yourself enough then simply kick it into the next gear. No use to wonder just go harder =)
  • noooooo who names their kid Chism LoL....I'd have to change it then slap my parents for naming me that hahaha
  • This has worked really good for me too^^^ and yes lots of water!!
  • I always read these same arguments over and over and it doesnt need to be this way. Look, everyone is different on here. our bodies act differently than others. If you running large defecits and you have 800 left on the table, try maybe eating back half at first. If your stalling in weightloss change it up from time to…
  • Is the journey truly ever over???? Ive always heard it said but dont know from experience that losing the weight is the easy part, but maintaining it is harder. What do you all think who have reached maintenance levels?
