I take lisinopril as well, and have actually had the best luck with it. I was put on it after I had my twins and what I was taking (Aldomet) was no longer working. I initially took a Lisinopril/Hydrochlorothiozide combo because I was retaining fluid after my pregnancy. I would recommend checking into it, it did wonders for…

I've had blood pressure problems since I was 17. Had pregnancy-induced hypertension that never went back to normal, and even now (12 years later) without medication my BP runs about 150/105. Everyone else has given pretty good advice already. All you can do is adjust your diet accordingly and hope your BP stabilizes. Just…

I personally had one of those "boring" weddings - no alcohol, no dancing, just a dinner reception afterwards. We were very young when we got married (18 and 17) so we did what his parents wanted and had it at their church and followed their rules. My husband and I have talked about doing it again OUR WAY for years now! As…

I make a lot of omelettes and use one whole egg and two whites, since I am adding other ingredients as well. When I just make eggs, I stick to the whole thing. As you said, the yolk contains most of the nutrients, so if you cut it out completely you are losing all of that to gain a few calories for the day. I've always…

Syntrax has a deal on their website to get 12 samples of their Nectar line for $12 plus $1.99 shipping. Think I may call and try some!

What is amazing about his weight loss is that he did it all naturally! I am sure he could have afforded surgery of some type or another, but he chose to do it all through diet and exercise. So ya, kudos to him!

Ooh the reference to "hunger pangs" made me think about one thing... that medication can cause nausea and such and is typically begun over increments... I remember that I was eating more often because my stomach felt "off" all the time and food seemed to help. It is supposed to be taken with food, but even with that my…

When I was put on Viibryd, I was specifically told that it would NOT cause weight gain and had very few of the other side effects common in most antidepressants. That being said, all people are different and react differently to medication. Perhaps it isn't so much the new medicine as your body reacting to the stress of…

OMG ^^ I have quite the belly from having twins, and it is the ONE thing that I really struggle with. I have told my husband on several occasions that I almost wish I weighed 220 again so that my stomach wasn't as obvious. Cause now, I look relatively normal everywhere else, and then just have this bulge of a stomach.…

Alot of people gain in the beginning of it, me being one of them. Once you get into week 2 you should start to see the scale go back down. Have you taken your measurements? This workout is one where the measurments are going to show far more than your weight how much progress is being made. I have actually seen a good…

WW works, or can work, but just like this site it is a life-long process and takes making the proper choices when it comes to the food we eat. WW really isn't much different than what this site achieves, they just simplify (or complicate?) it into a points system instead of seeing the values like we do here. In my opinion,…

I would eat it and deal with the consequences on Monday. Seriously. When else do you ever get to have it? Also, the steak recipe sounded delicious. You should try that too! Thought I would be the voice of reason to the opposite side!

I've never been small enough to wear anything from there personally, but I know my sister's Hollister clothes are really nice.

Less than 2 grams of sugar WILL be really hard to find in a breakfast cereal. I currently have 2 different types of Kashi cereal, GOLean Crisp Toasted Berry Crumble and Cinnamon Harvest. My favorite is Cinnamon Harvest, so I will post the nutrition for it. Calories 180 Calories from Fat 10 Total Fat 1g Sat Fat 0g Trans fat…

I didn't get an invite and I was the first to respond :( Can I get one? Pretty please! Maybe I can search and find it...

I was suggested vitamin B-12 for my tiredness. But, it MUST be sublingual. B-12 does not absorb in pill form, and so is pointless to take otherwise. I don't know about the other B vitamins though. I take 2500 mcg, and it has done wonders for me.

I am starting at a higher weight, but sure! Sounds good! I will give my starting weight tomorrow morning, since I've already ate today. I like to weigh-in on an empty stomach.

Mine smokes too, I have to open the door when I use it or it will set off the smoke alarms. Since you are sensitive to cigarette smoke as well, I wouldn't be too concerned about it being an actual allergy to the grill. You are probably just sensitive to smoke of all types.

Husband is reclassing, so we will be pcsing somewhere from Ft. Campbell once he is done. I have always wanted to go to Ft. Eustice... close to the beach, and only a few hours from our family... I figure we couldn't get much better than that!

I use it as well, mostly for my hot tea. There is a slight taste difference between it and sugar, and I remember it took me a few days to get accustomed to it, but like she said, when I try to use other artificial sugars now, I can't stand them! The only other one that I like is xylitol, which is from the sugars in fruits,…

"Cow!.... Another cow!" "No, I think that was the same cow..."

Miley Cyrus is in The Last Song, which is actually a good movie, even though it stars her. And the girl form the Notebook is Rachel McAdams, I think. I also didn't get it. The book IS better than the movie, over-all, but neither one really "did it" for me.

My mother in law starte this diet last week, and lost 7 pounds the first week. I am thinking about doing it along with her, atleast maybe the Fast Track one out now that is for 14 days. Am sort of in a rut and am thinking it could be just what I need to re-start my weight loss!

Does your machine give it's own estimate on calories burned? Without a heart monitor it is hard to be exact, but my elliptical usually quotes about half of what this site does, so I go with it. Figure it is better to be on the low side than over-estimating it.

I am a fan of most of the Kashi cereals, and I can find coupons for them pretty often.

Dunno, but I would much rather look like one of the bottom four!

OK I give up on trying to get pictures on here... I wouldn't mind looking like Elizabeth Taylor did, although my chest is bigger. And after doing some research I found I am built alot like Jennifer Hudson, so I wouldn't mind looking like her either.
