Well done everyone who has stuck with it and has made it/almost made it! It feels great doesn't it?! I have just done W9D1 the timed run is 30mins and this is the longest it gets. I ran 4.34k in the 30mins today so will hopefully get to 5k by the end of the week. I am planning to improve my 5k time using the run double app…

I'm keen. Just about to finish C25K and need a new challenge to compliment my jogging.

I did week 8 day 2 yesterday, it was much easier than i thought it would be, probably the easiest run so far, and definitely the furtherest. Keep going everyone, not far to the finish line now :)

Bump Where is everyone?

Hi All I finished Week 7 day 2 yesterday. My legs feel really heavy when I'm running but the rest of me is fine. I'm really enjoying it and am on track to finish Sunday 18 December as planned. (9 weeks from starting on Monday 16th October, i think the initial calculation was out) On monday 19th I am going on a 4 day hike…

I did the 20mintue run yesterday, end of w5... It hurt my legs like crazy. My lungs seem to be coping fine though, so thats a good thing. I really notice the different time of the day if I go after work it's much harder to run than if i go in the morning. Keep up the great work :)

Well done everyone, you are doing so well! I did w5d1 today, a day early as I have to go out of town for a funeral for a few days, and probably won't be running while I'm away. However, I have got my gear in the suitcase, so we will see. I'm totally amped about the 20 minute run, can't wait! Everyday I run along a…

Well done everyone! I have just completed w4d1... It was much easier than I thought it would be. I think I'm getting runners high!

I just finished week 3! I'm so proud of myself for doing this regularly and making the time and forcing myself even when I haven't wanted to go out in the rain or the dark. I didn't even let a dead mouse in my running shoe put me off (thanks cat for chasing it in there and scaring it to death). The thought of running in my…

I got myself out of bed this morning and did W3D2 too! I got on the scales and that motivated me to move! I am finding w3 really easy, it feels shorter than 1 and 2 and I'm covering slightly less distance. Totally looking forward to week 4. My body feels good, but still looks the same!

Week 2 completed! I felt fitter and I ran further and faster with less exertion today. Can't wait for week 3, might even start it a day early! Got home to a yummy green smoothie, perfect start to the weekend. Keep up the hard work everyone

W2D2 done. Looking forward to getting the next one done and starting on week 3 to amp up the distance a bit. Today was fun! I'm trying to do Kinect Your Shape in the days off, a little bit of boxing and pilates to keep me honest. If you fall behind, keep going, you will get there. Remember, slow and steady wins the race!

I have a green smoothie most mornings for breakfast. The ingredients are: 1 frozen banana (I peel and break up a bunch of bananas and put them in a container in the freezer about once a week, then they work like ice cubes) 2 handfuls of baby spinach 1 cup of water a little protein powder or a tablespoon or two of rolled…

I did w2d1 yesterday, which was pretty good considering NZ won the rugby world cup the night before and the party was bigger than New Years Eve! Am going to have to do tomorrow's run at 6am or 830 pm. Neither of those are very appealing!

Finished week 1 yesterday. The 3rd day was much easier than the 2nd day. Am having a rest day today with pilates and boxing, and into week 2 tomorrow, Yay! Well done everyone on the completion of week one, and others who are ahead, you are our inspiration, so please keep letting us know what it's like.

These are not exercise ones but food ones 1: "Little pickers wear big knickers" - for when I just want to have a little taste of something I shouldn't 2. "Nothing tastes as good as being thin" - when trying to make a choice about what to eat To keep exercising I find if I run outside then I can't give up early as I still…

Hi everyone. Just completed w1d2... feel good. Got home and tracked my distances/times (android app has gps) and i ran almost exactly the same as w1d1 in terms of overall speed and distance. But... my body felt like it was working harder. Looking forward to w1d3 already. Good luck everyone and keep at it, it will be worth…

Reddcat - Just do whatever speed you are comfortable at. The goal is to run for the time increments. I guess once you can run the you can build up speed. How did the first day go everyone?? Can't wait till tomorrow, day 2 hooray!

I'm in! Started this morning, Monday 17th, it was fun. I have the android app from doublerun and some good music. The app was awesome it told me when to run/walk, and has gps built in so tracked my distances and speeds. Happy me and good luck to anyone else starting today. :)

I have just started today - Monday 17th October. My first run/walk was easier than I though it would be. I have run in the past but never very well or for very long. Good luck! :) By the way I'm in the future as I live in NZ!
