I've been playing around with what works for me so that I can get back to where I was happiest. I need a big breakfast. I've been having around 600-900 calories for breakfast (pancakes/belgian waffles w/ toppings, 6 egg whites, sausage, bacon, fruit) and that has done wonders for me. I've been able to stay full until lunch…

Looking good!

Race day is a blast! My suggestions: Have a nutrition and hydration plan. (I personally choose not to use the water stations and just have a flask or 2 with me in my fuel belt). Make sure its not so different than your training plans. Make a kick-a** playlist. Have fun!

Not a good reason to give up meat, imo, because meat doesn't cause belly fat.

just no. really, what's wrong with a good diet and exercise? can't stand all the faddish bs. why do people always want an easy route. challenge and struggle build character

If you'll use it. I pay a lot more and its worth every penny to me.

Funny thing...I didn't like chocolate most of my adult life. Since losing weight, I love the stuff.

Don't hate on Kelly! I love Kelly! Kelly is an amazing singer! I don't give 2 craps about her weight.

I do 45% and am always over. Love them carbs!

All things in moderation. Eat the carbs. Carbs are good for you. Can't stand that low carb nonsense.

I hope they return without the high fructose corn syrup.

Don't weigh on Mondays. I tend to eat out all weekend...usually within my calorie budget....but high on sodium.

Congrats on a fantastic transformation...and the right way. Keep doing what you're doing! :-)

No, no, no to the cheat days! Just plan. And stay active. Eat moderately and get some exercise. Better yet, find a sport you love and pursue it. That is a true lifestyle change.

Too many young adults with eating disorders on MFP. Makes me sad.

I don't have just 1. I love to tri, because I enjoy swimming, cycling, and running. I love long bike rides. Just me and my music and open country roads. I love kayaking. Can't explain why. I love tennis. There is just something about hitting little green balls that makes me happy. I love scuba diving. The underwater world…

Eat all foods in moderation.

I'm a morning person. 4:40 am every morning up and workout, or on rest day, go for a long walk. I love being outside early when very few people are around.

Just no!

I have always logged my walks. Every little bit helps. MFP is a little high. Now I'm just logging active calories via my Garmin. I think the key is to just be consistent with whichever system you use to account for the burn and adjust per results.

You look fantastic! Inspiring!

I was never a big soda drinker. I only drink water, tea, coffee, almond/cashew/coconut milk now (oh and alcohol on occasion). Don't miss soda. I'd rather eat my calories.

Agree that your fat is set too low. And don't be scared of fat. I eat a lot of it and it doesn't translate to body fat.

I recently got a tri watch and have been using that to better understand my calorie burn. Know that no tracking device is accurate. And the MFP database has proven very close to my garmin w/ hrm so long as I'm honest about my effort.

I didn't log my binges for a long time. Now I log them. And guess what? That has helped a lot. As soon as I get back to my race weight, I will go back to not logging at all. I am actually ok not logging as I have a good feel for portions and calories. As it is, I only estimate.

I need to try these.
