Thank you for your inspiration! You are correct in that anyone who is younger should get the weight off & maintain it because once 80 is reached it is really hard! You will do it!!!

From information I have seen, 8 ounces is one (1) cup. To determine how much a glass holds, I take a measuring cup, place water in it, and pour into the glass. I continue to add water using measuring cups, i.e., 1 cup; 1/4 cup; 1/2 cup, etc. until the glass is full which tells me how many ounces in that particular glass.…

Instead of a treadmill or a stationary bike, I would recommend a recumbent . I have knee problems, and I find the treadmill and stationary can aggravate the problems sometimes.

Thanks for your posting. Like you the pain in the knees can be quite hurtful on some days with the osteoarthritis, and I do not walk or feel like walking as I should. The doctors do not want to perform surgery on my knees as yet....told to get the weight off, and I should be much better. Easier than said unfortunately. One…

Not knowing the family situation your mother may feel she is losing control when you are not following what she thinks is best for you. It must be quite discouraging, but remember you need to do this for yourself. Hang in there & don't let anyone sabotage you!
