Like Karmin, I'm doing the 30 DS. I'm just a few days in, and it's KILLING me. In 20 minutes, I'm drenched with sweat. Really great workout. I also do the Wii Zumba for plain old cardio (it's fun!).

Be very careful to pick a prestigious program-- most online psych/counseling type programs are not viewed favorably by employers. Which sort of makes sense, since in order to be able to counsel, you must be observed counseling (i'm a school psych). I would get my doctorate in psych, but there are no good online programs…

I am partway through my doctorate at Univ of Florida's online program (I live in Pennsylvania). I really like it. I loved "real" college, with classmates, lectures, etc., but this works just fine with me. I do sort of miss the networking that comes from sitting in class with people (which has served me greatly in my…

I LOVE mine. And BTW, it's under $90 on Amazon. I love the sleep measuring feature, I love how it counts how many flights of stairs I go up ( I try to beat yesterday's scores), and the easy to read graphics on the website. Very easy to sync. One downer is logging food. MFP is soooo much easier to log food. Fitbit's site…

I got the FITBIT about a week ago and LOVE it! It's pretty accurate on stairs. Not positive about steps taken. Calorie count seems pretty good, too. Love the sleep measurement feature, which I believe is also accurate. It's easy and fast to sync. One disappointment is the food logging-- far fewer choices than MFP has. It's…

Because I signed up for MFP at work, and my work computer has almost no photos of me.

Love it!

A little more clarification-- I do 20 minutes of Zumba, and it's a great workout. But after 5 minutes on the elliptical, I'm hurting. I do it in 5 minute increments at this point, adding up to 1/2 hour. So it really is a great workout in a very limited space. Good luck!

I have a very small elliptical that I got off Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Stamina-55-1610-InMotion-Elliptical-Trainer/dp/B000VICRO8/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1327817130&sr=8-2 It's about 1.5 foot by 9 inches, I estimate. It KILLS my legs, and is a great aerobic and muscle building tool. I will admit-- I don't enjoy it. I'd…

I don't have a HRM, so I use the counts on MFP or on other calorie count sites. And they are much more than 28 calories. Is it possible that the HRM takes body temp into account? Or simply heart rate?

Are you kidding??? FRANGELICO! Enjoy! :drinker:

Good to know. I was wondering how they changed the texture enough to make it look like chicken. I've been a bit nauseated since I saw that photo.
-
THAT;S IT!!!
-
True. She just said that they added the chicken color later. I wish I could copy and paste photos on here. It really was gross.

A friend of mine posted a photo on facebook yesterday of some pink stuff that looked like soft-serve ice cream. Turns out that it is the chicken-ish mash that they use to make nuggets, apparently. They add coloring to bring it back to beige/yellow. ((shudder))

Mine was sort of a two-fer. My first date with this numbskull was to a frat party. I went to get us each a beer, and when I turned around, he was slow dancing with some random girl! I walked out (took both beers with me! haha).. He called me for weeks, apologizing and begging for a second chance. I relented, and he took me…

I'm at work, and checking in at MFP is a lot more acceptable than Facebook! It gives me a quick break from writing reports.

Tosh.0 No question.

Some of my friends with successful blogs on here seem to have a lot of friends, and every time they post a blog, it comes up on my feed. So they naturally have a bunch of built in readers who just have to click a hyperlink. Plus, they do tend to plug their blogs a lot, and thank us all for voting for them. I think you need…

You lost me at "countless infidelities". I don't even know you, and I know you're worth more than that. Good luck with your decision.
-
Must say that I don't have a HRM, so the others may have better info than I do.
-
The calorie counts are pretty close to what the Zumba website says, so I've been counting what the Wii says on my MFP counts.

I have always had a ton of guy friends, but when I met my (now ex, but had nothing to do with this) husband, I made sure that he became friends with them as well. I didn't do a lot of stuff just with a guy. I was careful to avoid even the appearance that something was going on, both for my ex, as well as my friends'…

I definitely get puffy. I've stopped weighing myself during that time, because it's so discouraging. I can also definitely tell a difference in how my clothes feel. I believe I pack on about 3 lbs during TOM, but it comes off within a few days of it ending.

Sassy Oakes or Feather Oakes (both work!)

What this fruit-helmeted cat just said. Why force yourself? There's nothing magical or super-nutritious about cottage cheese that you can't get elsewhere. I love it, but I get why people don't. If it's a texture thing, you may want to try Greek yogurt. Yum!

LOVE it! I tried my English riding boots on for a Halloween party, and couldn't get them on. Wearing them again is a goal of mine. :-)

My ex husband told me occasionally how unattractive I was (and I had no extra weight back then). My favorite was, "I didn't marry you for your looks." Nice. One of the reasons he is an "ex".

Surprise him by showing up with proof of his income! (I have a friend going through a messy divorce)
