  • Hey! I want to join! My goals for June are: 1) Walk at least 1 mile and do 30 crunches each day 6 days per week; 2) drink a minimum of 8 glasses of water each day; and 3) loose 10 pounds.
  • I have the same problem...I am GOING TO HAVE TWO MARTINIS (Dirty Churchill Martini - Gin with a drop of Olive juice and three olives in the glass) on Friday and on Saturday. One of the ways that I help myself is by logging them in just like everything else. I have found that keeping a clean house helps tremendously (no…
  • My NSV......I passed by several 7-11s with fresh Krispy Kreme doughnuts on my way to work and didn't stop!
  • Lean Cuisines now has Salad Additions which I am using for lunch. You just add the lettuce. I think there are four different types: cranberry, asian, southwest, and bistro. All of them have chicken. I've enjoyed all except the bistro. I'm having that tomorrow. Each is at 260 calories. My sodium intake is normally pretty…
  • I am just finishing up an asthma flair up. I have been upset for the last two weeks because the doctor said "no exercise" plus I ended up on prednisone. She said "your body is working extra hard to breathe through the congestion (which can result in heart failure); it is also working hard to heal itself." If you monitor…
  • I am so happy for you! It is so important to love yourself!
  • Great Post! I seem to be having a Superbowl party at my house and was wondering what in the world to serve cause almost all of our friends need to be on MFP! So I'm thinking definitely the black bean and chicken recipe above sounds great with some taco shells, lettuce and tomato and shredded cheese. I think I'll make a…
  • Great Job! You have inspired me! :flowerforyou:
  • Boy am I looking forward to that!
  • My favorite NSV...my son didn't recognize me when he happened upon me in the grocery store. I had on my new size 16 clothes versus my old size 20 clothes!
  • I love my Wii. It doesn't replace a good workout at the gym. It is better than doing nothing. Its all up to you. I use it in the early morning for 45 minutes or so focusing on the aerobics - hula hoop; boxing, free run just to start the day. In the evenings when I don't go to the gym I typically plan an hour or two with my…

  • So sorry for your loss. I recently lost my Dad very suddenly and it made me know how precious life is so I work hard to make myself healthier. Everytime I workout I can hear him say "Keep up the good work" so from me to you "Keep up the good work"
  • I am a serious dog lover and have loved every breed there is to love. I will even add that my ex-husband and I had a pit bull dog puppy when our first born was 6 months old. He used the dog as a walker and rider (on the dog's back) and his sister followed suit two years later. I have had two rescue dogs. One was just fine…
  • Great Job! I think you are absolutely correct "the trick is to enjoy the journey as much if not more so than the destination". Keep up the good work.
  • I too was stressed out much of October and into November with the impact of Sandy, moving and then Thanksgiving. I decided that I had better get back on track on Monday and I will allow myself Christmas treats on December 25th. My thought was that I had gained four pounds that I need to get off before gaining even one…
  • I thought I was the only one happy to feed the non-dieting hordes!
  • Great advise! I sent you my contact info for Tupperware. I work full time and do it part time for the extra income. It doesn't take a lot and I don't have any problem getting you started.
  • WOW! You can really see the difference! I bought the DVD several months ago and just attempted to restart it again today. I only made it through the first 10 minutes but thanks to your pictures I feel motivated to try it again tomorrow morning and every weekday morning for the next 30 days.
  • I have asthma too so I can really appreciate what you said. I've spent several months building up my heart rate to 150. I have been walking my Doberman 1.5 miles each morning. I get a block long jog in every now and then and it is absolutely awesome! Keep up the good work!
  • I couldn't tell from your picture, do you have locks or braids? Did you sleep in the flexi rods and were they comfortable?
  • You can add me too! Start out by filling our your profile page. It really gave me somethings to think about. I used to be depressed a lot too espcially when I looked in the mirror and thought about the fact that I didn't have any cute clothes, I couldn't do fun stuff before running out of breath and even that I couldn't…

  • I am in Richmond and live on Southside off of Hopkins Road. I workout at Gold's Gym Arboretum. Feel free to friend me.
  • I can be just a tad grumpy, irritable, mean, and evil. I'm a dog lover. I'm caramel. I've never tipped a cow but would offer it a dollar tip for a glass of milk should that situation ever occur. Would love to be your friend!
  • I had some loc extensions put in in March and just had them taken out 2 weeks ago. My hair is wonderful and I don't have to spend time worrying after my workouts or when I go to bed at night or when I get up in the mornings! I am so happy with my decision to have locs and I won't ever look back. I think of my new…

  • Thanks for the encouragement and motivation - I just restarted 30DS for a second time. I was proud to make it through the first 10 minutes! :blushing:
  • This makes good sense! I recommend adding some cardio too. I love weight training and was hesitant to do cardio but now I am a cardio addict.
