UGH the one way streets in Hamilton are THE worst....the worst is when you're going North on James, and there's no left turns on King, gotta go all the way to Cannon. LAME! lol I'm from Toronto, currently living in Hamilton.

well that's the whole point of planning your day. if you workout in the afternoon and you know it's gonna be a big one, eat a big breakfast and/or lunch, so you're not overwhelmed at dinnertime, which I am sometimes, but i'm a nighttime snacker so i guess those extra calories are comforting.

Your body is burning calories when you're just sitting around doing nothing and you still have to eat. When you exert it with exercise, you have to eat to keep your body working. Do a search on eating exercise calories on this forum this question gets asked every 30 minutes

Look at it this way... If you burn 500 cals with exercise you need to get those back to ensure your body is being fueled. Say your net goal is 1200. You eat them before you work out.
