D3L1 I have a hard time pushing thru on the squat/arm presses after doing the push ups. Anyone else have this problem??? My shoulders are just so tired!! I pushed thru more this time than the past 2 days though :) Finding cardio a lot easier. But some how I have GAINED 3#!!!! WTH!! I find my appetite higher but I haven't…

WHen I did the South Beach I had horrible headaches. My blood sugar got so low, that's what happened.....if this program is low in sugar or natural sugar it may be due to that.

peppermint orbitz gum, can't breath without it! my zune when running/gym, or just nature with no traffic for runs!

how is turbo fire compared to turbo jams?

D2L1 COMPLETED!!! It was easier than Monday....went running yesterday with my softball team (I coach) and by the time I got home, I was nauseous and ready to pass out...I think I was a little dehydrated...and my quads killed me!!! So I decided to skip D2 yesterday and continue today. Proud of myself of getting up early and…

sounds delicious, thanks for sharing!

I started yesterday!! whoop whoop!! I'm in with you guys!! I took before pics but didn't measure, I usually forget about the measurements, but I did weigh myself.

if you are just starting you may be over doing it to begin with. You're muslces may need a rest, or you may have started off too fast. In my morning runs I feel fresh and full of energy and tend to start to fast creating my body to get tired quicker. Did you eat anything or drink anything before running? you do need to…

I just started 30 Day Shred yesterday....finally found my motivation but thought I would join on here to help me stay more accountable! D1L1 completed 4/25!! Did that after 3 days of running in a row and my quads are spent!! But I will carry on and work it out!!! YEAH!!! I love Jillian :)

you're thighs are smaller, you can see in the at the end of the butt. I call it the second butt. when I get out of shape, I get the "second" butt! lol good work!

can you answer this for me....Whenever I eat Oatmeal (w/walnuts, agave, & peachers or raisins) I am constantly hungry 1-2 hours later and today I am seeing that I am really tired 2 hours later too (might be from my hour commute tho). Why am I always hungry quicker after I eat Oatmeal, than something else, or (hate to say…

what does HCG stand for??

below 1200 cals a day is like starving yourself especially on the days that you run. You need the calories to use as fuel to burn. If you restrict yourself under 1200 daily then you are going to be hungry all the time. Add more lean protein in there to help keep you fuller longer and load up on veggies when you are…

Yup, actually if you drink too much you can actually poison your body. BUT that would take a lot a lot of water. You are supposed to drink half your weight in ounces. So if you weigh 150, drink 75 OUNCES of water :flowerforyou:

as said before you are setting your self up for failure. losing 4 pounds a week is not only unrealistic but unhealthy. There are those on BL who spend 6+hours a day working out and are able to lose 5+ pounds a week, but in real people land (us) we can't workout 6+ hours a day. We are lucky if we can get 1-2 hours in a day.…

just a thought to remember. What you cut out and deprive your body of now (say low carb diet, so carbs) you will gain all the weight back when you reintroduce them to your diet again. You need to switch to healthy carbs, whole grains, etc. Something we have heard from the experts time and time again. Find an equal balance…

The night before running you want to stay away from fiber. Trying to clench during your run is no fun....you don't want to have any accidents! I would avoid fiber, high doses at least

the best post workout food is chocolate milk. It has the protein and carbs that help the body recooperate after the run. If you run less than an hour, you don't need to eat a big meal, but if it's more than really be sure to eat something after your run. I am running a marathon at the end of june and during my training I…

I was told that your highest heart rate should be your age subtracted from 200, cuz it shouldn't be over 200. Now if this is correct of not, I am not sure. When I am running my high has been 176 and I thought that was pretty high, but it's when I'm running harder so I am not able to hold a conversation. It could be a…

The little battles we fight in our lives :ohwell: Good luck to you as well...when finishing the last few pounds, we will feel amazing and boost our confidence! Thanks for the reply!! :flowerforyou:

I was able to talk to my coach yesterday and he said it was normal to gain a little and build muscle during the initial phase of training. So no worries it will even out. I was about to go crazy!! Yes, post pics of your victories!! I ran 9 miles yesterday, fist ever. It felt amazing  Best of luck to all your…

I am training for a marathon, so I have been doing a lot of running lately, many many miles :noway: Has anyone else out there know this....does running excessive miles build your muscles??? I usually run a few days a week a couple miles before, but now that I am getting in many miles a day, I am noticing my pants fitting a…

It really sucks being a girl on the days when you can't feel full and can't stop eating food. Why must we be the ones who have all the monthly problems. Why don't boys get any of the good fortune!!!! :grumble: :grumble: :grumble:

Congrats! I remember running my first 5K in 2007, then Bloomsday (7K ?) last year. Now this year I'm going to do a 1/2 Marathon and a Full! It's exciting, all your endorfines keep going!! Best of luck training and keep up the good work!!! :drinker:

a snack should add up to a 150-250 calories. like an apple with a cheese stick, about 150 calories. hope this helps

When you are jogging/running you are getting your heart rate up, you are sweating more, you are getting more of a cardio vascular exercise, verse walking, yes you are moving, but it is not as challenging as jogging. Jogging you produce more strides than you would when you walk. Hope that helps

I'm so sorry to hear about you kitty Pal. :brokenheart: I had a kitty die last February and she wasn't even a year old yet. It's funny how they are just animals but we are so attached to them. I got thinking about Freckles the other day and it brought tears to my eyes. You say Pal was more like a little man. It's so true.…

that sounds YUMMY!!

I have read it. I took exercises from it, but haven't done her routine YET. I haven't followed the eating plan either. I am planning on following it completely either March or April, but I agree with a lot that she says. It is for the final few stubborn pounds that won't come off. BUT she also says you need to be in pretty…
