Very good advice! (And worded far better than I could have done!)

Good stuff!

Ditto!

I belong but have not been there in more than a month. Oops. I usually go to the Bensalem location since it is closest to me but I've been to the Ft Washington location. They are all pretty much the same. The Ft Washington one felt smaller than the Bensalem one, but that could have been my imagination.

My two all-time favorites that I've seen far too many times to count are: Gone With The Wind and The Wizard Of Oz (which I just watched again this past weekend)

Would love to run with other Philly area runners!!! Count me in!!!

I agree that shifting to different types of goals (something other than a number on the scale) is the way to go. Get your body fat tested and set a goal to reach. Set some fitness goals. Once you reach that "magic" number on the scale, it is a good idea to shift your focus and setting "alternate" goals will give you new…

I eat mine back and have since the day I started on MFP. Heck, there are days that I eat them back and then some! lol! I'm down about 110 lbs overall and nearly half of that is MFP weight loss. As others have mentioned, the calorie goal that MFP set for you is one that will allow you to lose the weight per week that you…

Graduated on Thursday, November 24, 2011! I decided that the 5K I did yesterday was my final C25K workout since I ran the entire distance. My FIRST time running the entire 5K! The course was quite hilly so my finish time of 34:06 was not a personal record, but the fact that I ran the entire race is a victory!! Now, on to…

5K Gobble Wobble for me!! My goal is to run the entire 5K for the first time ever. Hoping for a good time, but even if I don't PR, I will be happy if I can run the whole thing. I'm in the last week of C25K and have been trucking along at a 10 min/mile pace on the treadmill so I know that I can run for 30 mins non-stop and…

I would strongly recommend against the extra running if you are just starting out. There is no quicker route to injury than doing too much too soon. Rest. Your body will thank you for it!

Sounds yummy!!

Good morning Philly people!! lol! I'm Tobi and I live in Bensalem. I am a somewhat newbie runner and have completed several 5Ks over the course of the last year. I will be doing the Abington YMCA's Gobble Wobble 5K on Thanskgiving morning this year and I hope to do the Broad Street Run in 2012. I currently work in a…

Hello all! I'm Tobi and I currently live in Bensalem, PA (just a bit north of Philadelphia). I grew up in Lancaster (let's hear it for the Amish!!) and lived in Allentown for several years after graduating college (Millersville, baby!). I'm doing the Abington YMCA Gobble Wobble 5K on Thanksgiving. I don't have anything…

Hello all!! I just started Week 8 yesterday and I am beyond thrilled with the progress that I have been making. I've started and stopped C25K several times since starting running in the spring of 2010 and have done several 5Ks in the last year, but this is the first time that I have gotten so far in the program. I was in…

I love my oatmeal (steel cut) with a bit of olive oil, some shredded cheddar cheese, cracked pepper and a poached egg (or two!). Delicious and very filling!

Hello All! I'm Tobi from just outside of Philadelphia, PA. I've only been running a short time (since spring of 2010) but I've grown to love it! I've completed several 5Ks and I am currently finishing up C25K (after starting and stopping several times). My currently plan is to start B210K once I am done with C25K, complete…

Some great info here! Thanks all!

It took me a bit to get used to, but now I almost exclusively drink water. I average at least 10 cups per day and can feel a marked difference when I don't get my full 8 for even 2 days in a row. If you have trouble drinking plain water, try adding some lemon or cucumber or even the Crystal Light flavor powders. The 8 cups…

When you use "your" instead of "you're" in the title of your "You know you're tired when..." thread. Sorry. I couldn't resist! :flowerforyou:

STFU!! Another Tobi!!!! My first name is Tobiann, but I've always been called Tobi (except by my Grandma who has always called me Ann). My dad's nickname is Toby. Other nicknames for me: Tob, Tobes, Tobster, Tobias, and (for a brief period in college because Baywatch was still pretty big and Hasselhoff's son's name was…

Sounds yummy! I will be trying this one soon! Thanks for sharing!!

CONGRATS!!! I have been using C25K off and on for more than a year now but had never gotten past week 6. I'm back on it now (and fully intend to complete it this time) and just did the 20 minute run yesterday. We will BOTH be running 30 minutes soon!! You ARE a runner! Don't let anybody (including yourself!) tell you…

I want to get a new tattoo (I've got three already). I will probably get some kind of stylized scale to represent the weightloss as well as my astrological sign (I'm a Libra through and through!).

Welcome to MFP!!! Congrats on making the commitment to getting healthier and for making that commitment TODAY!!!

Count me in!!

I use a heart rate monitor so I created my own exercise and adjust the calories for each workout accordingly.
