  • By ordering grilled chicken and vegetables at the restuarant. It's been mentioned several times in this thread but you have yet to acknowledge that many here are giving you the tools that you state are being taken away from you by your husband's surprise date nights. Don't be afraid to order off menu when at a restaurant.…

  • I'm 38, in a relationship, and don't have (nor do I want) kids. My BF doesn't want them either, so my desire not to have children has never been a problem in our relationship. I am perfectly happy to be an amazing aunt to my gorgeous niece and mom to my fur kids (a cat and a dog)! Feel free to add me!!

  • <Don't have many, but my current avi should suffice!
  • YUP!!! I'm a Jim's gal, myself!
  • My dentist is also a friend and she complains every time I go in that I'm not making her any money!! At nearly 40 years old, I've never had a cavity and I never needed braces. Not sure how I won the genetic jackpot that is my naturally great smile, but I'm certainly not complaining!!
  • In for the bad assery despite less than ideal circumstances!! I'm currently dealing with a stress fracture in my heel but have continued to CF three times a week. My coach has been awesome about helping me modify workouts so that I can keep kicking *kitten* while my injury heals.
  • I'm a (currently sidelined with a stress fracture from overtraining) runner. I've been focusing on longer distances this year (10 milers and half marathons) but I have plans to scale back considerably once I've recovered from my injury. Hope to get in a few miles 2-3 times each week once I'm cleared to run again.

  • Finally had the opportunity to find my 1RM for deadlift (I only CF 3x per week and have missed every time it's been done before) and managed to pull 225lbs!! My goal was to break 200 so I felt like a freakin' badass!!! Also, I can tell that I am getting stronger all around...knees to (almost) chest is getting easier!!!! I…

Monday was 4 rounds for time 10 V-ups 15 parallette dips 20 Knees to Chest w/ Feet in Rings (30 if no pushup included) Finished in just under 12 minutes. • We did this one a few weeks ago, but I did not realize it had such a great name!!!
  • Went back and found a few old threads here in the group that have lots of good advice: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1092517-walk-me-through-it http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1090762-advice-for-the-newbie-please Best of luck to you!!! • I'm a fan of Moving Comfort. Got fitted at my local running store and have not needed to double up since!
  • Warm up: 7 minutes of rowing while the rest of the class worked on double and single unders. 15 strict push ups 15 jump squats (I did regular air squats because the jumping is too hard on my heel right now) Strength: 12 minute EMOM Odd: 7 bench press (bodyweight or X lbs) - I did these at 75 lbs Even: 1 rope climb (or…
  • We don't do rope climbs very often at my box and it wasn't a skill that was covered in my foundations classes. My coach is VERY adamant about being safe on the rope and modifying to the beginner version (pulling yourself to standing from lying on the floor; 3 beginner ascents = one full rope climb) as needed to maintain…
  • Took all of last week off after being told that I likely have a stress fracture in my heel and need to be in a boot. :sigh: Got the call yesterday confirming that I have a stress fracture (had an MRI on Monday), but I am back at the box modifying as needed! I have a follow up with the podiatrist on Tuesday to talk…
  • Oh, thank goodness! What can I say? It's Friday afternoon. My sarcasm meter is ready for the weekend!
  • You're joking, right? I mean, you have to be joking. Can a fetus *choose* to live?! No! Why? BIOLOGY!!!
  • I hadn't been over there since early yesterday... My god, the trolling over there is award-winning! If they gave awards for that kind of stuff...
  • The creator of that group is well aware of this group. She has heard from many of us time and again in response to the PMs we have received from her and has seen her comments modded here time and again. Unless I am mistaken, she is currently blocked from this group. She has an agenda that she is bound and determined to…
  • I love that this is still happening 10 pages in! The internet never lets me down!
  • I would have loved that, too!!!
  • What can I say?! I'm a runner so I would rather run than row any day of the week! Besides, if I need to slow down to a jog or walk, at least I'm still covering some distance! If I need to take a breather when rowing, that counter stops and doesn't start moving again until I do! And more often than not, if we have a run in…
  • Yesterday's WOD kinda broke me... 3 rounds for time: 400m run 30 OHS (85lb/55.b) 25 KTC w/ FIR I'm still not running due to my heel injury so I subbed 600m rows for the runs, scaled the OHS to 35lbs, and scaled the KTC/FIR to not include pushups. Took me 20:33 and I was in tears by the end. My arms were like limp noodles…
