Honestly, you can't do it for anyone else. You can only control yourself. You can encourage him without nagging, or try to get him involved in activity that he finds enjoyable. Look for healthy recipes you can cook together, or get his favorite salads from Panera. You have to be supportive and let him know that you love…

Definitely get rid of anything you don't use, or at least put it out of the way somewhere. Maybe you should set a timer for 30 min or 20 minutes a day and tackle a small area. If you start slowly, and try to keep the areas clean that you've already done, it should start to take shape in a week or two. I know it's hard,…

You are an inspiration to us all.. You look great, and I'm sure you feel even better. What a great role model for your daughter.

100 calorie English muffins with 8 g of fiber, chobani yogurt, grapes, apples, cantaloupe, cauliflower, mixed greens for salad. My favorite dressing is light raspberry vinaigrette with walnuts from Newman's Own. Add a little low fat feta, and it's delicious! I pick up a couple Lean Cuisines just in case I'm desperate some…

I hear you. Nighttime is the worst. When you're starving, and cooking for the kids, it is so tempting to just grab some crackers or whatever. Just eat fruit when you want something extra, that way you won't wreck your diet and it will fill you up. Or salad with light dressing. Good luck. You probably have more will power…

Hey I just got back here after 4 months of crappy eating, and I am happy to encourage anyone. Feel free to add me. Good luck on your weight loss.

You look great! You've done a great job. I have been overweight my whole life, and I have been called fatty, pig, porky, etc. at some point or another. When you get older, people generally leave you alone, but I've heard it all. Those girls must have been really insecure to say those things to you. Next time just tell them…

You can add me. I am just getting back to MFP, and we all need to stick together to get this thing done!

Congratulations! You are an inspiration to us all. I still need to lose about 100 pounds and it seems like an incredible amount of weight to lose, and you've lost twice that much. Good for you! You should be so proud of yourself.

It says you're 23. If that's right, you are an adult, and your mom should treat you like one. She can give advice or comment on choices you're making, that's normal. She can be disappointed too, that's fine. It seems like she is trying to manipulate you by crying and making you feel guilty. I think that's too much. Just…

I like Laughing cow Light cheese, especially the onion kind. It's good smeared on Special K multigrain crackers. I also make sure I have apples and I eat them with a Tbsp of peanut butter for a snack.

There is definitely a difference between going out and leaving kids with a sitter vs Grandma. I think it is good for them to spend time with grandma and good for your relationship, too. Unfortunately my mom didn't live close, so when my kids were young, we never went out without them. If one of us had to go for a work…

One of my ears is attached at the lobe, and the other is dangly. The dangly one has a little bump on it where it should have been attached, I guess. So that makes one of my ears look a little longer. People don't notice it, but it is definitely a quirk!

Too many to count! I was a cheerleader in 6th grade (delusional on my part), and after one of our cheers, one of the guys remarked that I couldn't get off the ground. Yeah.. that was an ego deflator for sure. Once a guy friend of mine touched my "boob" and said excuse me, but I was sitting down, and it wasn't my boob, it…

I said no to a bakery treat from Panera today.

Onion flavor on wheat thins.

I smirked when I first read this, but I guess deltoids or quadriceps.

You are an inspiration to all of us. Well done.

I'm August 28. I see at least one other person with the same day.

I am a DD as well, and I went from a 44 DD to a 38 DD when I lost 86 pounds. I don't think you have to worry about being an A or B.

Hi, I am the mom of 15 year old twin boys who were diagnosed with autism at age 3 (I knew when they were 2). It is tough in the beginning, and just when you think certain behaviours are gone, they come back. We can all exchange stories or ideas and that support is what you need. Check your local branch of Autism speaks, or…

I use splenda or equal, and then I add a creamer with no sugar or lower fat or whatever. One little creamer is no more than about 25 calories for the liquid ones. It's worth it.

Oh yeah, the sea salt and caramel is one of my faves. Just bought a bag today at the store. One a day will keep the doctor away!

what about a Ghiardelli chocolate square? They are around 70 calories each and delicious. Or you could do Jello low fat pudding, or a packet of lower calorie instant cocoa. Sometimes though, I think that getting outside and moving is the best exercise for a broken heart. Along with remembering all of the things about that…

Hi. Good luck. MFP is great for support and ideas. Feel free to add me.

Thank goodness I just eat it without cracking it open. On another note, a few years ago, some friends tried to get me to try a bite of pie from a suspicious co worker. They were raving about how great it was. Luckily I said no, because then they started finding cat hair in it. You could see it sticking up like coconut. Not…

Sorry you had to go through that. Some people are just way too nosy for their own business. Just blow it off and keep on going. I have two autistic children, and I was in a grocery store once, and the lady a few registers over says to her husband, gee, I feel like I'm at the zoo. The clerk then says, spare the rod, spoil…

Who knows since I'm not. I really wanted to reply to the other issue-the job ramifications of being heavy. I knew a girl who applied at a large theme park for a job. They told her that if she wanted to work for them, she would have to work underground because she did not fit their physical profile to meet customers. She…

We have to chop up lymph nodes, etc for my job. Sometimes they are the size of a golf ball, now that is not pretty!

Once a week, first thing when you wake up (after the bathroom, of course), naked. That is the least you will weigh. Worst time, in the evening after a big meal. lol
