Most of us have been where you are. The only thing I would add to all the fantastic advice above is don't go off mfp. It's not just about logging your food, it is hearing your friends progress, it just motivates you. It is too easy to slowly slide away if you aren't monitoring it. This is pretty much what I do, and the beauty I find, is I don't crave bad foods, I am hoping that lasts. There is no way at work or at home I would not be under high pressure to eat too much treat foods.

I have no problem with not wanting to do low carb or not agreeing even that it is a worthwhile option but it is the tone of the posts that get me. It isn't necessary. People are not automatically stupid if they don't agree with someone, no matter what "proof" they think they have. One size does NOT fit all.

Emma, I think I am going to have to log forever, I just bought a scale and found I was eating twice as much cereal as I was logging :noway: It is the portion size that is so hard to estimate.

Yea it depends on the craving, if it is very bad then no matter what I will end up eating it, so better to eat a small amount, than have a big healthy meal and still eat the treat!

yes no matter what, no many how many days you don't log in, come back......even if you log food for some of the time, it helps build it as a habit.

Yes I agree, this is about you, and none of their business. For some reason it can feel like we must answer people in a work situation on something personal. I'd just say I'm just trying to improve my habits and leave it at that but you don't have to say anything at all.
