Congratulations! I've been stalled for a few months, not really feeling motivated. You have reminded me! Great job!

You GO girl!!!

Can't wait to try this!

Omg, omg, omg! Cory, I started at 291.5! You look amazing! I can't wait to get there! Congrats on your hard work and thank you for posting!

You rock! I weigh about the same as you. I don't currently own a bikini, but by this summer I will!!!

thanks for sharing! Sounds wonderful!

Hear, hear! They tell you to have your first one at age 50. I'm only 46, but had my first one last week due to my Primary Immune Deficiency making me likely to develop problems with the gastrointestinal system. They found benign adenomas. As you said "snip, snip, come back in three years." Adenomas are the kind of polyps…

I second the desire for a sheath dress that fits! Has anyone ever watched Madmen? Now THOSE dresses would fit!!!

Thrift Stores are my friend - espeially the local Goodwill. I call it the GW Boutique! I buy "gently used" clothes that fit, often better quality/brands than I can afford new, and then "re-donate" them when I shrink to the next size.

Sounds good! Thanks for sharing!

Am imagining this in so many flavors! Thanks for posting!

I saute a clove of garlic in the pot before adding the water. Sometimes I add some broth (organic free range chicken or veggie). I buy a blend of rice at Trader Joe's that is simply wonderful: Brown Rice Medley with Long Grain Brown Rice, Black Barley, and Daikon Radish Seeds. Even my roommate loves it. He's a…

Nope, you're not the only girl here dealing with this issue! I'm a Ohio transplant now, but True Grit at heart (Girl Raised in the South). For Christmas, I'll be going home to Georgia where the Bacon Grease container sits on the back of the stove and seasons EVERYTHING - from cornbread to collard greens. It's the way I was…

I absolutely do this! I call those clothes my "hopefuls." It's my declaration that I will achieve that smaller size. And it is absolute heaven when I do!

What an awesome thread! Some of this stuff's already on my "Thumpin'" playlist, and some of it needs to be! Addicted to Drums from Zumba class!

Forgot to add - check with your doctor since you have asthma. You'll probably okay if you use your bronchodilator before you exercise, to open things up.

You can do it, just slowly, like all the previous posters have said. When I started on the treadmill, I was nearly 300 lbs myself, with asthma, but only borderline. However I'd recently spent two weeks in the hospital with double pneumonia, which left me weak and even more out of shape than ever. To say I walked slow would…

I just saw this! In weights class this morning. Ladies running around the room socializing instead of working out. And I thought "What are they here for?" I catch up with my friends before/after class. Thanks for the post!

Hi there! The hardest step on a long journey is the first one, and you've already taken it! Congratulations, and best of luck to you! You are worth it!
-
Way to go! Own it, enjoy it, and move on! :)
-
Way to go!!! Pictures don't lie! It is soooooo worth it, isn't ?

Jessdun10, I have you in my prayers! My sister-in-law had thyroid cancer, so I know how tough it can be. She has one of the most positive attitudes I know, which helps a lot. Hang in there and good luck!
-
I do this too! Fabulous solution!

Ohio-an since 1989! Kettering, near Dayton. My family wants to know when I'm moving back to Georgia. I tell 'em when there are no more REALLY BIG bugs down there, LOL! Bugs don't like our Ohio weather either. :)

Chai tea! Yum! :) Chia tea? Chia pet? LOL!

Speaking as someone who depends upon donated plasma to survive, I thank all donors, both paid plasma donors and unpaid blood donors. I need monthly infusions of the immunoglobulin derived from plasma to give me the antibodies I don't produce. So your donations are truly lifesaving! And yes, the process of plasma donation…

Thanks! Not sure I want to try the first recipe, but the second link looks promising! And since I just ordered some Vega powder online, it might be the way to go!
