I just finished Barre Blend and am doing 21 Day Fix! Would love more friends on here doing the Beachbody workouts.

Love this thread!

I've been back to logging food and exercising for almost 2 weeks now! Was really hard to be back at the gym! Today I killed spin class!!! Burned 100 calories over my goal!!! It's getting easier!!!

I had an ACL rupture and reconstruction with a hamstring graft. I gained a lot of weight which I'm now losing again because I've only been able to really be active again for the past 3 months. However...I got myself a personal trainer 1X/week who was sensitive to my injury and I learned kettlebells until I was able to have…

Awesome! Let us know how it goes! I wish I could get back to kickboxing. I ruptured my ACL sparring about a year ago and am still building strength post surgery. I'm currently trying to lose weight in hopes that IF I ever get to go back, weight won't be a barrier to fighting. Mind if I add you as a friend?

I'm still at it. Its self driven but they measure body fat and lean muscle mass at the beginning and end of 10 weeks in a bodpod. Supposedly its very accurate. I started at 42% fat and don't know where I'm at now. For me, I started logging on myfitnesspal and have been going to the gym about four times a week. Mostly…

Thank you all!!!

Great topic! 30 days ago I had difficulty with a 8kg kettlebell clean and press. Now, I can do a metronome kettlebell clean and press and people in the gym come up to me to tell me how cool it looks. :)

I struggled with 1200 calories too. I found that it was psychologically easier for me to stick to 1500 and I've been losing more.

I agree with the suggestion to get a second opinion. It's important to know what is going on with your knee. My injury was a complete rupture but at the beginning, doctors kept telling me that it might just heal up on it's own. After an MRI we found out that I actually need surgery and a complete replacement. I've had to…

What kind of knee injury do you have? I ruptured my ACL back in November and it's been hard for me to find alternative exercise. I've been doing the elliptical and bike for cardio. What's tough is that I can't put the tension on very high because it strains my knee so I need to spend more time doing cardio to burn…

Hitting things is great for stress! I wish I had a heavy bag!! You should defnitely get a pair of gloves to protect your hands and wrists. I was kickboxing (until November when I tore my ACL) and would get sore wrists if I wasn't wrapping them. Any pair of gloves will do if you're just punching a bag so you don't need to…

Hi there, I hurt my knee kickboxing on Nov 9, 2013, ended up in a big knee brace and then was told it was "fine" by a doc at a walk in clinic. Today I got a 2nd opinion and was told that it seems to be a torn meniscus. I'm going for an MRI to confirm. I was hoping that maybe somebody would have already replied to your post…

Hi there, I just got put in a BIG knee brace in hopes that it will heal up in 10 days. If not, I will need an MRI to see what's going on. I would also be grateful for support so feel free to add me. :) I'm scared of losing all of the progress I've already made. I primarily do Muay Thai and run. It's been hard to get into…

Congrats on your first competition! It's amazing that you had that experience! I've never been part of a competition but have been thinking of trying. I think that I need to feel more comfortable sparring first. (I'm also in a leg brace for a potential torn ligament in my knee.) That said, I didn't realize that competition…

Thanks, this is a great answer! I do Muay Thai. I've been sparring for a few months now. (tonight was particularly humbling...) My instructor asked if I wanted to fight in a tournament but I said that I don't feel ready yet but love the idea of trying it out! I think I still have some weigh to lose first. They say it…

Me!! Glad that I'm not alone. Thanksgiving week (Canada) has made it really difficult to stay on track. I've kept up with the exercise but have been eating leftovers and sweets all week.

I've also just started sparring and it's been a big learning curve! I have about a year of Muay Thai behind me so I have some good technique. Sparring is totally different than being able to hit pads (I've been learning). I'm totally humbled and right now feel like I just keep getting repeatedly punched and kicked. I was…

I'm also in the Edmonton area! Feel free to add me.

I started with the Running Room lLearn to Run program and then I did the 5km clinic. It's based on John Stanton's book and is a really great program. All runs are from 20 - 30 minutes, 3X/week. The Learn to Run starts with intervals of 2 min walking, 1 min running and increases every week. The 2nd week would be 1 min…

There's a Quebec beer called Blanche de Chemblay that I love! Very similar to Hoegarden which is also good. I also appreciate Molson 67 because it's low cal.

I am!! Feel free to add me!

Thanks for the tips! I'm not working a 12 hr but switch between 8am - 4pm's and 4pm - midnight shifts. (Just started a new job at a hospital.) It's taken so long for me to figure out how to eat healthy on a day shift and now I find I'm eating twice as much on an evening shift!! Great to hear that it can be done with some…

Have you noticed that the hangover is worse with exercise? I went to a kickboxing class last Friday and then over to a friend's house for some red wine. I felt like I barely drank anything and was already passing out and ready for bed. The next morning was one of the worst hangovers ever and my day was completely shot..…
