Awesome job! I managed to bench more than my body weight for the first time since shoulder surgery. Small victories are often the greatest0

Thanks! And congrats on your victories, that's huge! About a year ago I dislocated my shoulder and hyper-extended my elbow in a dirt biking accident. I couldn't do most of the activities I loved for almost six months and was hating life so I totally understand the joy and sense of accomplishment that comes when you can get back to where you were!0 -
Not in 30 days like you, but last August I couldn't even do 1 pull up. Now I can easily do 25 :drinker:0
-
I went from doing 5 push ups to 35 :-). Also from walking about 15 mins to be able to walk 2-3 miles0
-
It's good to see where yourself and others have started and how far they've gotten, very inspirational. I see healthy athletic people and sometimes forget that they were once beginners and possibly couldn't to their first pull up once upon a time.
Anybody else have anything you can do now that you couldn't do 30 days ago?0 -
I couldn't fit into my pleated black skirt.0
-
Yay!!! I love it when we can fit back into clothes :-)0

I was going on terrible binges and restricting all the time
now im eating at a more consisted tdee for a bit and going to cut soon...with less urge to binge
not as cool as everyone elses but oh well0 -
What do you mean "not as cool" Are you kidding? That's cool as F^$%!! Congrats on going without a binge, I hope you're plan for healthy eating continues!! *hugs* :flowerforyou:0

I was just starting to use weights while walking on the treadmill and doing arm exercises. Now I'm up to three lbs.. That's alot for my wimpy butt!!0
-
I prayed that I would still be an avid MFP user...God answered.
In addition, he also chipped off about 6 pounds in that time span.0 -
I love the theme of this thread! I don't know if there's anything specific that I've accomplished in 30 days - maybe a renewed sense of accomplishment. I hit my one year anniversary on MFP and wrote an introspective blog post about it. The positive feedback I received kind of reinvigorated me .
I also snapped out of a rough mental place I was in. I went three months without losing and then decided enough was enough. I looked at what I was doing and thought critically about my actions. For three months I continued to log and work out but realized I wasn't being accurate with my logging (I was eating around my TDEE). I was doing things like choosing the lowest calorie option on foods so that I could have two cookies instead of one.0 -
Thirty days ago, I was doing push-ups on my knees. Now? Walking push-ups. Those damn things are no joke, especially if you're fluffy like me!0

My hamstrings do not hurt anymore, and I cut down a lot with smoking0

I love that you can be honest about taking a good honest look at yourself and realizing you need to change, that's HUGE! Sadly, most people just look for excuses and something to blame so they can play the victim. Congrats on your one year anniversary!0 -

**googles "walking push up"** Daaaaaaaaaaang! Good for you! That looks really tough, I might just have to try that :-)0 -
got myself a personal trainer and have been committed to 4x a week w/ him. Cut about 70% of carbs and sugar out of my diet... with NO RESULTS ... WTF....LOL0

Give it time!!! You're doing great things for your body and even though you can't see any results that doesn't mean that change isn't happening. If you just recently made a huge change in your diet and exercise than it may take a little while for your body to adjust to the demands you're putting on it. Just DON"T GIVE UP!!!!0 -
...I could only do a basic inversion on my left side. Now I can easily invert on my right side as well and I'm working on inverted combo moves :-)0

I can now fall in public because my pants are too big and I refuse to throw them out and keep forgetting to buy a belt! :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:0
-
I can run faster and longer!0
-
Great topic!
30 days ago I had difficulty with a 8kg kettlebell clean and press. Now, I can do a metronome kettlebell clean and press and people in the gym come up to me to tell me how cool it looks.0 -
I wouldn't have dreamed of going into a 5K run, now I am0
-
30 days ago I couldn't lift my 2.5 lb weights for more than 10 minutes at a time, whereas now I can go an hour without stopping Time to invest in some heavier weights. Well done everyone on your victories0

Thanks! It's a relatively new character trait I've developed. But I believe in calories in/calories out so if I wasn't losing then there was a logical reason!
(Shameless self promotion but if you want to see my blog post it's here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/EHisCDN/view/some-losses-but-many-more-gains-one-year-on-mfp-642627 ).
In the last 30 days I've also increased the weight on all my lifts .0 -
I can finally do normal push ups! can't wait to be able to do a pull up/chin up!!0
-
congratulations to everyone on their accomplishments! I can't wait to see more and to be able to add to it!0
