....."shoe shopping" means the local sporting goods store, not Macy's. New running shoes are the best! ;)

Lifting is fun. Start with hand weights...or gallon jugs filled with water. The more lean muscle you have the more calories you burn while doing NOTHING. (and that's awesome!) You don't even need weights to build muscle....try some push ups to start. Remember to look straight down, keeping your neck in alignment…

I fell in love with it once I had some great earphones. It's quailty "me" time... I listen to music and just zone out. Good shoes will help your running experience as well. Running form is really important for enjoyment and preventing injuries. Once you find your "sweet spot" ...were you feel relaxed and like you can keep…

Do you have a rice cooker? They're pretty nice. Brown rice with some ckicken breast .... grilled mushrooms/veggies. I make grilled veggies one day of the week, then stick them in everywhere I can. YOU CAN DO THIS!! Together we can get through the hard parts.
-
You can do "butt blasters" as well :) Stand up, put your weight on on leg, lift other leg (with knee bent) up then back. Remember to switch sides. Squats work great too. Cycling is also great.

ME TOO!! I do the same thing.. stress = ice cream or anything with refined sugar. I do find, like everyone else, the gym, my free weights at home, and my exersice ball help a ton!! Hang in there!!! HUGS!

Don't give up..keep going.. like the rest said.. if you are lifting weights you are gaining muscle. Muscle will burn fat more efficiantly in the long run. Keep up the good work!

PS: now is a good time to get running shoes.... ask for last years models...they are usually 1/2 price, if they have any left in your size.
-
How old are they? I'd say get a new pair, it's no fun to have raw feet. Did you get fitted for running shoes? If it were me, I'd go to a running shoe store.... ask to be fitted and take your old shoes with you. They store person should be able to take a look at them and see if you are under or over pronating if they can…

WOW, that's awesome!! I can only do a 12min mile....if that! :) Congrats!

I vote for a heart rate monitor as well. :> Got mine cheap via Black Friday sale last year or the year before that...just started using it in July...when I got serious about getting in shape..and it's great. PS: The chest straps aren't too bad ...I thought I'd hate it, but you forget it's there pretty quick. (and I have a…

Calves are sexy! Congrats on that! And keep plugging away, the rest will happen!

yep, it has a chest strap. I'm thrilled that everyone is saying HRM. I get rather bummed to see and go by the MFP numbers somedays...cause I feel like I've worked harded than what the MFP numbers are saying. You all are making my day!!! :) THANK YOU SO MUCH! I needed that!

Bread. I've been using the bagel thins or sandwich thins instead of regular bread.. even though I used to eat whole wheat bread.
-
Just plain? Or does cinnamon sugar count? Not sure how to use it w/o the sugar.

Thanks a ton!!! I'll try to figure out the watch... it wasn't very expensive... in retrospec I should have gotten a good one. :)

Lunch type food: Turkey burger with a sandwich thin, pickles, tomatoe, etc. , or vegtable soup or chili Bfast type food: Irish Oatmeal or Laughing cow cheese with everything bagel thin & an apple or bananna or Fiber One cereal.
-
Me too.... Get out and walk around... put headphones on....eat stuff that's good for you and filling, like some peanut butter on celery.. a bananna. Have you talked to a doctor? There are medications that will help get your saritonin levels evened out.
-
We all have bad days... just start fresh and eat right today.. don't worry about yesterday.
-
Been eating Fiber One cereal with skim milk. When I have time, I'll make Irish Oatmeal (Steal cut oats)... no matter what I eat though I'm ready for lunch 3 or less hours later.

It's taking me awhile to get used to greek yogurt.... I'm used to the sugary stuff  It's so much thicker ... and seems like you coudl use it in a lot of ways vs. the regular yogart.... like on a potatoe or something.

-
I didn't read everyone elses reply.. so sorry, in advance, if I repeat something already said:smile: IMO, log it. Log every single thing you binged on every time you bing. For me that has helping a ton - just seeing how many cals I really am comsumming then also asking myself "did I really need that?" and learning that…

Sounds like what your eating is good....at least to me anyway. I've been told a protien shake 30 minutes or so after working out is really good for you.
-
Those Smart Dogs are really good.. 45 cal and lots of protien. Of course it's not really a hot dog..just looks like one :)
