Call me crazy but I'm going to start the ripped in 30 workouts with this one. Its not that I think that the workouts are easy -because they're not. But when I'm done and throughout the day I think to myself I can do more. I was planning on doing it right afterwards but I figured why not do it now that I have the gumption.

My parents never made any definitive age for me that I could start dating but they did make rules. I started dating freshman year of highschool and every one of my boyfriends was expected to come over and have dinner with my parents so they can get to know them. I'm 24 now and they don't require it but I still bring them…

You say you gained weight during pregnancy like its uncommon. I've never been pregnant so I can't say I walked in your shoes but every body is different. I think once you start taking tabs on what you put into your body and start exercising you'll find the weight comes off as well.

L1 Day 3 Done! Its amazing how I hate doing these workouts just as much as I look forward to them.

I'm thinking about weighing myself after each level and doing measurements just for my own knowledge. I may also take a third set of pictures at day 15. I don't have a scale so my starting weight may be way off. I could be at 165 so when I'm home again and grab my scale I'll see where I really stand.

I've been picking up the weights periodically and just doing the upper body portion of the workouts I detest. Hopefully it'll make it easier for me when its time to actually do dvd.

That sounds awful. Luckily my family and I are on the same page and we're all trying to better ourselves. It definately makes it easier. My mom always tells me about the weight she's lost. Personally, if I had a sister like that I would tell her to shove it and go about my business. But I tend to be less forgiving about…

Grab some good sized weights that are difficult but manageable for you (you should be able to do 8-10 reps before you want to take a short break). Do some bicep curls Chest rises (not sure what the actual name is)- lay with your back on a bench. Bring your arms with weights out laterally to your left and right then bring…

I wear any loose fitting clothing I have. I don't wear shorts to the gym because I'm not comfortable with people being able to see too much but I grab whatever feels good and go. If I'm going to spend money on cloths its going to be the cloths I buy when I lost the weight.

Buy a bunch of single serving containers and make a 'skinny chili' or another type of soup/stew and make yourself frozen dinners that you can grab and go.

I'm in the same boat. I tried cooking for myself for a while but it just got hard and too expensive. I work for my dining services so a few people and I made a few suggestions on things that I'd like to see. ex: fresh fruit, granola cereal, more salad bar options. I also suggested some changes for them like offering cheese…

I read the introduction and I can already tell its going to be a good read. Thanks!

I hate hate hate the side lunges and lateral arm raises. Everything else I'm okay with. Maybe the squat and presses can be a pain.

That's what I'm worried about. I went to dinner and had a pretty filling dinner but when I went back here I was only at 1000 and I know that that's not enough. On the other hand I'm trying to get myself away from eating for the sake of eating. That's my major problem with gaining weight.

haha! I wish I worked that way! I also always wished that you could save up unused calories for a rainy day. Too bad things don't work that way.
-
I'll do it!

L1D2 Done. The 3 lb weights don't seem to be enough for the chest rises (I think that's what their called - the ones when you lay on your back and raise your arms above you). I don't know if I want to spend teh extra money for just one exercise.

Your dog is still a puppy. Before you adopt/buy a new dog train the one you have to walk/run well on leash. If you make it enjoyable for him he should love going on runs with you. If your dog is food motivated buy a clicker and take him out on leash. For each step he takes click and treat him. Eventually increase the…

I'm just wondering what the correletion between saudi arabia and mixed breed dogs is?
-
I'm trying to train myself to do that. I've gotten pretty good at eyeballing how much of each food I'm putting on my plate and using trial and error. Eventually I want to get to a point where I just know that somethings good and how much to eat. I think that's the only way I'll be successful long term.

Try any department store. Also, if you find a nice one that you like take a look at overstock.com or amazon.com to see if you can find it cheaper. I've had good luck with Amazon thus far.

I happened to find my weights at TJ Maxx. All the walmarts that I went to had horrible selections for workout equipment and I happened to be in a TJ Maxx and found a little wall of workout equipment that had everything I needed.

Day 1 Done. Is everyone going to workout straight through? I was planning on utilizing some break days and finish closer to halloween time. I did it using 3 lb weights and it was pretty difficult for me. And on that note I noticed people saying they' were using 5 lbs. Wow! good job!

Oh my god, no I wouldn't but that's one of the funniest things I heard all day.
-
I was going to kick-start my workout with this one and then perhaps supplement it with the ripped DVD if I hit a plateau. I like her style and it fits my schedule perfectly.

How are we counting this in our exercise log? I looked and there's no '30 day shred' exercise. Is there any comparable exercise we can list it as?
-
My all time favorite snack is 'ants on a log' with celery, peanut butter and raisins. I cut back the calories some by not slathering on a lot of peanut butter.

How are you going about kicking the habit? I can go almost a week without drinking a soda but other days I pound back 4 in a day (ugh, it sounds so bad writing it down...) I just have trouble getting over that hump. Did you wean yourself off?
