What state is "home?" That makes a difference. I would say In n Out but that is a West Coast chain. I plan on having an In n Out Cheeseburger animal style. Yum! In the Midwest, where I am now, I would say Culver's. Or you could go classy and get a burger at a sit down restaurant locally. Medium burger, bleu cheese,…

I had a dream that I was about to walk down the aisle and I blacked out and when I came to I was with my fiance and we had gotten married and I didn't remember a thing. We were standing in a room and we realized that we didn't have a photographer but we stayed waiting for the photographer for an hour. When we came out to…

I keep crunchy vegetables around like carrots and sugar snap peas. That helps when the snacking urge comes on but I think it helps to set yourself up for success early in the day. I try and get in some high protein, high fiber, and high water content foods in early. For me, these are things like shredded wheat, berries, an…

I switched to cereal/oatmeal with berries for breakfast on weekdays a few months ago. This has helped me bring my breakfast count down and if I want eggs and bacon on the weekend, I don't see anything wrong with bringing it back once in awhile.

That was my childhood fantasy...

Thank you! You guys have opened a whole new world of things to me :)

Organic puffed wheat, fresh berries, and coconut or almond milk. If I have hard boiled eggs premade in the fridge. I'll throw one of those in.

Wii Fit was what got me moving in the beginning. I didn't lose much weight because I wasn't really watching my diet but it was an important first step that got me comfortable moving on to more challenging work outs. If you have Netflix you can also set up Netflix streaming on your Wii and stream work out dvds too. That was…

Thanks for the feedback! I'll take a look at increasing my calories a bit and see if it makes a difference on how I feel on the weekends.

I actually have a cautionary tale about this. I am listed as sedentary because I have a desk job but on the weekends I am typically on my feet all day. I also tend to do blow out work outs on the weekends where I burn in the 1000 calorie range. Last weekend I ate about 1400 calories, burned about 800 calories in a run,…

I got hit on at the gym for the first time a few months ago. I stopped going to that location for a bit because I realized that the time I ended up there it was a total meat market. Then I realized that I needed to do my thing. Apparently the vibe I have always given off is sweet and approachable so I started using that to…

The only way to really know is to try it for yourself. I work out throughout my TOM. I rearrange my rest day that week because I know the one day in my cycle exercise will make me feel worse. Now that I'm thinking about it... now that I've lost some weight, I can pretty much work out on my normal schedule. I don't feel as…

I had been off birth control for almost a year and had not ovulated once. I realized that I was so large that my body couldn't do what it was designed to do. I'm getting married this year and my fiance and I want to start trying for a family this year. I realized that my weight was controlling my life and I needed to make…

Nutella on a banana is heaven! I was just talking to my fiance this morning about how he has bacon and I have nutella. Neither of us would be happy in a world without it.

Here's an article I really liked about the non-dairy milk alternatives written by a nutritionist: http://nutritiondiva.quickanddirtytips.com/which-non-dairy-milk-is-best.aspx I personally drink almond milk and coconut milk which are both under 100 calories per serving. I like them both and I find that they are both a…

Sorry, I just realized that you are a man :embarassed: The clothes swap is still a good idea though :flowerforyou:

Yes! You have to live your life for who you are and who you are becoming. You can be strategic about it. Thrift shops and clearance racks are a great place to start. I took a look at my clothes and decided which sizes I needed to retire and what gaps that left in my wardrobe. I went to Ross, Marshalls, Target, Thrift…

So many things to check out. I pinned a sparksrecipes recipe :D I have really been thinking about getting an HRM but I don't feel like I can fit it into the budget just yet. I need to replace my running shoes but that will be coming up on the list shortly. That GymBoss timer sounds like an excellent idea for circuit…
