Go to YouTube and look up chair dancing. I've never done it, but one of my friends started at over 450 lbs and it was a good workout for her because her knees were so unstable. Good luck!

I wear a 10-1/2W and have tried many different shoes over the years, but Brooks was the ones I settled on. They are usually sold in running stores and most places will work with you to get the best fit.

I usually park far away where I can pull through. I drive an SUV with a blind spot when I back up. Better safe than sorry. For this same reason, I never back into parking spots. No backup camera.

I am also a chocolate lover and can't stop when it's available. Maybe I should say "don't" instead of "can't". I know I CAN, but I choose unwisely. My way is to buy ONE candy bar when I do my weekly grocery shopping and fit it into my calories. I can't have it in my house either, but once a week works for me and gives me…

Originally from St. Louis, but now in Granbury, TX. (About 40 miles south of Ft. Worth) Central time here, too.

To be pedantic myself, OP said 28 days. Last I checked, that was 4 weeks. I'd rather see someone lose a pound a week and keep it going steady than lose a lot of weight quickly, which is what you seem to be advocating.
-
That's a pound a week. How is that not good?

Good list. 51 pounds down here with 37 more to goal. Not missing: 1. Constant knee and ankle pain 2. High blood pressure 3. Granny panties with stupid flowered designs 4. Heartburn at night from overeating 5. Wearing jeans with no belt and oversized shirts to cover my belly

My niece is a flight attendant and she makes a good living. It's a hard job, but she gets a lot of perks too, like free tickets and discounts on food and lodging when she goes on vacations. She's vacationed in places most people only dream about.

Went overboard on graham crackers last night. I opened a new sleeve and ate them all before the night was over. Then I had a couple of pieces of cheese AND a leftover grilled sausage link. All I can say is at least the graham crackers were the low-fat ones and the sausage was chicken...lol! I have one of these snacking…

Get a hobby.

Pace Picante Sauce or fresh pico de gallo. Love it on meats, eggs or just wrapped in a tortilla by itself. Spicy foods keep my sweet tooth at bay.

HEB for my major shopping. For the in between trips to the store, I go to Kroger since it's only about a block from my house. I think of it as a really large convenience store! Occasionally, I run into Walmart, but they would have to pay me to eat their produce. HEB has the best prices and the freshest produce and meat and…

Shredded Wheat - The big ones that filled the bowl! Still love them. In the early 60's, there weren't so many choices and very few sugar sweetened cereals available. In the winter, I liked Cream of Rice. :flowerforyou:

Nighttime snacking. I try to save about 400 calories for late evening noshing.

And this is why I never eat at buffets. Too many snotty little kids sticking their paws in the food. Signed, A random old person who really doesn't want to touch your belly or your sticky kid.

Agreed. If I'm going to make cookies, they'd better be good! Just put your recipe in the builder and how many cookies it makes. A lot of them are surprisingly lower than you might think.

I didn't have any xylitol either, so I used Splenda instead and they turned out fine.

http://www.foodiefiasco.com/amazing-low-carb-brownies/ These are pretty good, but be sure not to over bake them or they'll be dry.

Also, if you haven't frosted it yet, the cake is not finished and therefore has no calories.

I agree with the Leslie Sansone DVD's. Also look for some quick and easy workouts on YouTube. There are lots to try out until you find one or two you like. I also checked out some Pilates DVD's from the library, but they were a little too tame for my taste. I like dancing and have several dancing games for the Xbox Kinect.…

I walk daily. Bum knees eliminate a lot of other choices and anyone who is out walking is doing 100% more than someone sitting on the couch! I do Leslie Sansone on days the weather makes me stay home.

Roasted with carrots, green onions, a dash of olive oil, thyme, garlic, salt and pepper. I can eat the whole pan!

If you're full and happy, you just got your money's worth no matter how little you eat! And why such venom with the Brit?? If she was an American, you'd all be agreeing with her.

Want, but don't want to go to the fair.

I went to the store at 10:30 the other night because I HAD to have fresh pineapple!

I had a heart attack. While recovering in the ICU, I had a bad reaction to the blood thinners and almost bled to death. After getting platelet transfusions and stabilizing, I had a small stoke. After I recovered enough to go home and I started Cardiac Rehab, I got really angry. Then I went though a spell of bad depression.…

Agreed! But this is truly an entertaining read...keep them coming!

Grilled pork loin, Chinese salad with Raspberry vinaigrette and boxed stuffing made without butter. Horseradish for spice and a tall glass of iced tea to drink.

I was a chubby kid. Not obese, but kids can be cruel. About 9 or 10 years old and I've had a love/hate relationship with food since. If I'm thin, I want to eat. Then when I eat, I feel guilty. When I gain weight, I feel like there's no point, so I keep eating. It's a vicious circle that never ends. Just once in my life,…
