My wish for this Wednesday... that this vegan thing sticks!

Hi. My name is Amanda and I am 33 years old. I have a compulsive eating disorder. I blogged about this awhile back. My binge eating started as a teen but really exploded after surviving sexual assault. I'll link my blog in case anyone is interested:…

Hi! I've been vegetarian since March of 2013. Today I'm starting my transition to being vegan. I became vegetarian while on maternity leave. I started watching documentaries during long nursing sessions with baby girl. I watched Vegucated, Forks over Knives, Food INC, The Garden, No Impact Man, etc.... At first I was…

I think maybe you should show him online the difference between a crappy tattoo and and nice tattoo. Make sure you check out your shop and let him look at some of the portfolios. Please be sure you invest the money in a quality tattoo. a $250 tattoo is far superior to a $50! That may ease his mind. He may just be concerned…

looking good! And hooray for baby wearing!

Breastmilk! Whoot!

you can log breastfeeding calories! type in breastfeeding as a food and you can see it. I am tandem nursing my 2 year old and 5 month old. As for keeping up milk supply: tons of water, oatmeal, a good prenatal vitamin, and adequate sleep. Also -- pump regularly! Thanks to the Affordable Care Act you have a legal right to…

I have never been able to nurse with a blanket over my kid. I am quite busty and have to hold back my boob with my hand to keep from smothering the baby. Also they usually just fling off the cover and then your just left hanging out there.

I'm nursing a 22 week old and my 2.5 year old who looks like a four year old. It is always appropriate to breastfeed whether covered or not. Nursing is a public health issue. The more natural defenses against disease obtained the better it is for everyone. It is environmentally-friendly, cheap, healthy, and can help in…

I feel that way too. My husband even says that he is turned on my large stomach, hips, and thighs. That makes me even more uncomfortable because that means he is actually looking at my least favorite parts.

Just signed up! I'm going to drink my smoothie as an afternoon snack. I get tired and hungry at work and then I go home and nurse two kids and cook dinner. I tend to snack and over eat then. Hopefully this will help!

Please sign me up!

I would love to participate!

I love baking! I take the baked goods to work, or my knitting group, or to my teenage daughter's friends. Giving things away and freezing is the wy to go.

I think for those of us with over 100lbs to lose having small goal dates help. If I were to figure losing a pound a week (on average) my end date would be 3 years from now. That can feel frustrating and impossible. If I don't make any calendar goals then I still feel like "this will take me years and I'll never get there."…

I have 9 tattoos. I've decided to get my chest piece done when I get under 200lbs. I'm nursing my baby girl so no tattoos for awhile!

I am so freaking huge. I'm gaining weight so quickly. At 35 weeks and I think I've gained 42lbs. At last Friday's ultrasound they discovered Persephone is already 8.6lbs. The weird thing is my cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose and everything are as they should be. ALSO, I'm nursing a toddler 3-5 times a day. The…

Hi! I will be 29 weeks this Wednesday. Just got over a bout of the flu. I cannot believe I'm ALMOST there! Persephone Jane will be joining us in early February!

You are one nesting mama!

Headed over to the 3rd Trimester group! I'll be 29 weeks on Wednesday!

Odd problem .... when I was pregnant with my son in 2010 I wanted "lovins" all the time. My husband was actually like "whoa, honey, too much." Now I'm nearly 27 weeks and this entire pregnancy I've been very "hands off." I'm worried, because I know I may be having a c-section again and I'll be exclusively breastfeeding…

I hope everything is going well now!

Hi! I haven't posted in awhile and I need to get back to posting/tracking. On Monday we found out we will be having a little girl. We are naming her Persephone Jane and we'll be calling her Persy Jane. Hope you are all doing well. Best, Amanda

doing pretty well.... I'm nearly 18 weeks and I've gained 3.5 pounds!

I'm interested to know what everyone is doing for calories. Now that I'm in my second trimester, I'm doing the "gain 1/2 pound a week." I was going to just do maintenance, but I'm also nursing a toddler and I'm exhausted and light headed if I don't eat more. How do you all determine calories (or are you not counting)?

This post makes me cry.

I'm due February 9th!

BTW -- I love reading about everyone picking out names. We've definitely decided on a girl's name: Persephone Jane. We are undecided with a boy's name. It is strange because with my little boy (he was born in October of 2010) we knew we loved the name Atticus Clay, but we couldn't think of a girl name. I also have an older…

Hi all. I am 14 weeks as of today. I wrote a blog post a few days ago about weight loss and pregnancy (http://tinyurl.com/dyb477u). In summary, I was doing pretty well with weight loss (lost 25 pounds from January to May, eating a wide variety of foods, exercising) and then my first trimester knocked me out with fatigue…
