  • I'm snowed in as well :(. Not drinking because I live alone...am thinking about some skinny cow icecream though!
  • I do it by when I sleep also. So if I go to bed at 3 am, anything I ate before that is the previous day. Unless you already ate all of your calories from the previous day and you wanted to count the 2 am snack for the next day so you could maintain your weekly balance, I'd count them on the previous day.
  • Yesterday was my "cheat meal" and I was looking for a dessert that would not be an astronomical amount of calories since I'd had a burger and fries for dinner. Went to kroger and saw they had individual slices of cake- it sounded perfect- no leftovers! I look at the label and it's 250 calories...for 1/3 of a slice!!! Who…
  • I have Just Dance and love it! I wish I would have discovered it before I bought a gym membership, because I've been doing that about four days a week and only going to the gym 1 or 2 days a week because I just like the wii games so much better! I think I might invest in a HRM, because MFP says I"m only burn 207 calories…
  • Has anyone found any mixes yet that actually do add up to 42 calories? Sugar free maybe?
  • I've never showered after exercising unless I was going to a social event or something...I do sweat but I'm not drenched or anything
  • I have pcos. Like you, I find that I can lose weight but then I literally look at some junk food and gain it all back. I first got this app in October. By thanksgiving I'd lost 11 pounds. I stopped dieting between thanksgiving and christmas, but didn't really go totally crazy and eat everything in sight, and I was still…
  • I'm an "apple." Depending on the brand, I wore size 14's at almost 170 pounds. I find american eagle jeans fit my body type best, but they're also made quite a bit bigger I think (probably to make people feel like they're in a smaller size so they'll buy more!) I'm in a size 10 in their jeans right now, at 154 pounds, but…
  • I don't typically say anything when people lose weight because some people (not me- but people I know) legitimately find that offensive. They think it's rude because the person would be implying that they were fat in the first place.
  • I like subway. It tastes 10x better than a sandwich I'd make myself. What I get is less than 400 calories and it's also not all veggies- actual filling stuff. I don't get why everyone is so freaked out about the sodium. Fit it into your day like anything else...sodium is no big deal at all to me. I like getting subway for…
  • If you eat 1199, it will tell you you're eating too few. Are you talking about days you don't exercise though? I'm just confused because you said you always eat back your exercise calories, meaning that it should be impossible for you to eat less than 1200 on those days.
  • Yes, I think that is too obsessive. Your activity level on MFP already accounts for daily activities, so if you put them in there again you're counting something twice and therefore you're actually being more inaccurate. I'm a teacher and on my feet all day, so I set my activity level to "lightly active" and only log…
  • Me too! I'm a C now (almost a D, yikes!) but only because of all the weight I gained. When I was thin I was always a B. I actually still have a couple of B cup bras...hoping that one day I'll be that size again because it means I'll be much thinner!
  • I bought it at my walmart a couple of days ago. I only use it for dips- and since I'm eating a lot, using even the reduced fat version would be WAY too much in both calories and fat. I don't think it tastes bad at all. I'd much rather make stuff with the FF and have a decent amount whether than a measly two tablespoons. If…
  • Loved this one as well! I know some people will always bash teachers no matter what, but what really gets me going is comments like this that are just plain ignorant. I'm a special ed teacher. Even if I go in at the exact minute I need to arrive on time and leave at the exact minute I'm allowed to, it's still an 8 hour day…
  • I got 110 calories. Wish I would have calculated it myself first- I've been doubling this recipe all weekend thinking I was eating less than 100 calories for both servings :( I guess it could depend on cake mixes, but the angel food mix I have would still be way more than 42 calories even if you just do that. I'm using…
  • Ditto. I keep mine closed because I don't want people commenting on specific foods I eat. I certainly don't have a problem with not eating enough calories, lol.
  • Yes it's just normal fluctuation. That's actually why I weigh every morning, even though people advise for once a week. If you only weight once a week, you may not know that for 3 days before that you actually weighed less, and that morning you just happen to be carrying more water weight or something. I weigh every day…
  • That's how it is for me. For almost all foods, I'm okay with having them in moderation. However, there are certain things I literally just can't handle at this point. Maybe at some point when I'm further along in my journey, I will be able to add those things back in. Cookies is one big one for me. If I start eating them I…
  • I always take a day off. Your body needs to rest.
  • Vodka diet for me. If you don't like soda, you can do vodka water. It's only about 60 calories- soo much better than beer!
  • I'm incapable of eating a moderate portion of cookies. So if I'm trying to be healthy at all, no I don't eat them!
  • I use whole wheat bread (140 calories total), a half tablespoon of light butter (25 calories), and a slice and a half of good tillamook cheese (165 calories). You could use low fat cheese if you wanted, but personally I don't like to sacrifice on the cheese. Even the way I like it, it's not many calories at all and would…
  • Ok, how are you getting only 650 calories for the whole pie? I typed in the ingredients exactly as you have listed here to the recipe creator on here and came up with 1,415 for the whole thing. Unless somehow I'm doing the conversions wrong (I had to convert some from ounces/cups etc.). Does someone see what I'm doing…
  • Am I the only one that kind of likes logging stuff? Not only because it's healthy, but looking up new recipes and such and tracking everything has kind of become a "hobby" of mine that I actually enjoy, as weird as that sounds haha. When I've been thin in the past I kind of kept track of calories in my head, I figure this…
  • This sounds awesome, thanks! I have the day off work tomorrow and wanted to make something "junky" but to fit in my calories as well (not a cheat day). This sounds like exactly the type of thing I was looking for!
  • Yes! A lot of the weight I've gained is pretty recent, and I'm just not used to it! I've been eating healthy and exercising for a few weeks, have lost 8 pounds and am starting to feel pretty good. I'm in that "healthy" mindset. Yet even with the 8 pounds gone, I'm still heavier than I've ever been before recently. I went…
  • Every time I go to a dr. they always ask how many sodas I drink a day. I tell them 2-3, but it's diet. They ALL say "oh you shouldn't do that" etc. etc. Every time, I ask for a real evidence-based explanation for why I should not drink it. Not a single one has been able to come up with anything that's been proven. They all…
  • Definitely kick the regular soda. I drink diet...I'm not to my GW yet obviously, but my mom has lost 100 pounds and reached her goal weight, and has maintained it for a year already, and she drinks 2-3 diet sodas a day.
