My girlfriend had the sleeve a couple of years ago. Best decision she made. everyone needs a starting point to motivate you to a healthier lifestyle. I managed through weightwatchers and she used surgery. Whatever works for you - if this is what you need to do to be healthier then good for you Good luck :)a

luckily the fitter and healthier we are the more energy we have :) that way we can keep logging etc. I don't mind logging - it reminds me to be good. Knowing that I have to be accountable for what goes in my mouth does make me think twice.

Nothing wrong with walking. It's fantastic compared to sitting on your butt in front of TV. Good on you for getting out there and exercising

Wine is full of calories - just like everything. As long as you account for the wine theres nothing wrong with it. I personally used to 'need' the wine at the end of the day to relax but found it hard to stay within my calorie limit. I needed to decide what to give up and the wine lost. I find it heaps easier to stay…

I run three times a week. Twice I do a 10km run and then in the weekend try for a bit longer. I am about to start 1/2 marathon training in a couple of weeks so may need to increase the distances

Nice to hear a happy ending out of failed IVF. Took me four years (and one miscarriage) to have my beautiful daugther two weeks shy of my 37th birthday.

Good luck with the fast weight loss but please don't be too hard on yourself. Just because you won't be at your goal weight does not mean you can't have the time of your life. We are all a work in progress and have things that we are working on. - Enjoy the journey. As someone before said, don't forget to pack an awesome…

Welcome and good luck with your training. Wow there are a lot of inspirational people on this site. I have completed a couple of 1/2 marathons but haven't considered a full - I don't think I have enough time at the moment for all the training involvement. Maybe when my daughter is older....

Are you sure it wasn't your bowels complaining? Running has a tendancy to make a lot of people need to go number 2's. I have started to really appreciate public toilets since starting running.

Just make sure you are comfortable with the calories. If 1200 is too few for you, you won't stick to it and will get disapointed. I have never been able to go as low as 1200 and I have managed to lose weight.

You should be so proud of yourself - great job :)

success

That is awesome - you should be so proud of yourself. I did the C25K and I still remember the first time I ran for 20 minutes straight (Xmas day 2009). It is such a buzz Good luck with your 1/2 marathon training

You might be a runner when you give up drinking just so you can cut off couple of minutes from your time
