calliope, I hope you get to feeling better soon! What a way to remember your honeymoon!

Ouch, ten hours in the car tomorrow to start vacation. This WILL be interesting! Looks like I need to get a key to the fitness room as soon as I check in tomorrow afternoon!

Hello and welcome! I am south of Charlotte in the Wesley Chapel/Waxhaw area. We are very close in proximity. You will love this site! Glad you joined.

Thanx for the tip! Can't wait to use it.

I am with you on this, Lori. I can't seem to figure out why I should eat all of my exercise calories back when I got where I am from eating too much in the first place! :blushing: It seems like a Catch 22 - I eat too little and am told I will go into starvation mode and I eat too much and don't lose a pound and risk…

I have my HRM set up for Own Zone with all of my personal statistics - age, weight, etc.
-
I think MFP does a pretty good job compared to my HRM if you choose the correct type exercise.

I actually did Atkins several years ago and was successful, however, I gained it all back. I do like my breads and pastas so could not sustain that lifestyle change. There are so many low calorie breads and healthy pasta available today that it makes it easier to eat with portion control. :blushing:

I have a Polar f6 and worked with my trainer today for 30 minutes with 8 - 10 - and 12-lb weights. My HRM said I burned 186 calories during that time. I was also on the Bosu doing some jumping off and on which really got my heartrate up! That does sound like a huge burn for 15 minutes. ;-)

Hi, my name is Karen and I have battled my weight for most of my adult life. I joined MFP last year and lost a little weight, but didn't keep it off and actually hit my highest weight in January/February of this year! In June, I decided I really needed to do something about it so I joined a local gym to take advantage of…

This sounds very interesting and I would be interested.

I really like the taste of Brummel & Brown. It is a yogurt spread that tastes just like butter. You can also cook with it. I have tried the applesauce in place of butter or shortening in dessert recipes.

Sounds yummy! Thanx for sharing.

Okay, after reading this post a little while ago I HAD to have some Jello. Unfortunately, I had to make it so it will be set in a couple hours and I can have one tonight. While preparing the Jello, I read something interesting on the box called Jell-O Refreshers: Prepare gelatin as directed substituting 1 cup cold seltzer,…

I think you will find it a very useful and helpful tool. The MFP community is fantastic! I would like to lose about that much too! Welcome aboard!

I checked several sites for nutritional data on Gala apples and all of them said 80 calories. I would go with the majority.
-
Way to go! Congratulations! Can't wait until I can say the same thing. ;-)
-
Do a modified JJ instead even though Jillian tells you not to. You are still moving and that is a good thing!
-
Woot woot!! Congratulations!
-
I love the Fit & Active Carmel mini rice cakes from Aldi's. They taste like carmel corn to me.
-
I have said it before, nothing tastes as good as skinny feels! ;-)
-
I always found it ironic that the sugar is removed from an item and you are charged more for it. ;-)

Great NSV!

The only thing about the Body Bugg is the monthly subscription fee to be able to see your stats. ;-( I have a Polar f6 and it logs all my stats into their website PolarFit. I love it!
-
Way to go!!

I have the Polar f6 in pink and love it! You can even download your workouts to the Polar website to keep track of them. You can probably find a good deal on one on ebay.

I buy the already hard boiled eggs at the grocery and keep them in the fridge for a quick protein food after a workout.

I love the ones with fruit - pineapple, pomegranate, strawberry, etc. Which brand and flavor did you try? I don't like the plain either. The one with honey is also good.
