  • Might change battery then just incase. I put it on my hubby and again seemed to work fine. So hopefully a battery change will get it working on me too
  • Well gave it ago without underwire. Worked better but stull not right. Resting seems to read perfect. And just did about a three minute run. I'm far from fit in fact it's probably the most I've ever run. And it was only saying 85 and dropping but I was getting more puffed. I was looking at the graphs and when I'm resting…
  • I have a garmin vivosmart and the basic gamin hrm strap. I already follow all those steps except no underwire. I might try it without underwire then and see if it makes a difference. Thanks
  • Yeah I was wondering about them. I keep seeing in the research that I've been doing that they are not as reliable as hrm straps. And readings can be very low compared with what it actually is. But you have not found this? What would be some of the better ones to buy? What should I stay away from?
  • That's where I use it. I've wet it with warm and cold water, use hrm gel and tried it dry. Tried moving it round wearing it backwards and even had a go above my chest. The fact it works on my son I know it works. So it's something to do with what it's doing. Because of my chest size it does end up under my bra. Could the…
  • I was brought up on soy milk from a baby drinking formula to drinking soy milk for milk replacement until about the age of about 10. I have just recently had a health scare which involes hormones and it was through this that my mum told me about the issues around soy and estrogen. So I did some reading and discovered that…
  • Thats what's happened to me too. Having support is so important and when that disappears my weight seems to grow along with it!
  • Hey i'm 33 with five kids too. My oldest is 17 (he's my stepson but lives with us full time) and the youngest and only girl is 3 coming up 4 in December. Feel free to add me and we can help support each other
  • you look awesome! I'm currently 110kg and you have helped remind me of how great you can look even at 90kg
  • lol (opps pushed the wrong button) When we met he was about the weight he is now and I was about 86kg. 14 years later and four kids (plus his son from his first wife) and now i'm 30 odd kg heavier!! I hate it when he thinks oh I need to lose weight and poof its done with out him even having to put in any effort  and…
  • My hubby is about 2 inches taller than me and weighs about 10kg lighter than me :frown:

  • I have had one for four days now and its been great to keep me on track each day making sure I am being active enough. I had some problems at the start with it doubling the amount of steps I was taking but it turns out you have to enter in when you are in a car. I'm a dairy farmer and so I am on off my motor bike all day…
  • Thats me all over! came back on here after falling off for way too long and a large portion of my friends have either un-friended me:sad: because of my slack *kitten* or have done so themselves. You can had me and we can both kick each others *kitten*'!
  • Well after almost a year I've finally got back on here! dusted of my HRM brought a Fitbit and i'm ready to go! I have put a lot of weight on in that year only to lose it all recently (wahoo) through calving season, which is almost over. I DONT WANT TO GO BACK AGAIN to where i was. I have almost half my body weight to lose…
  • someone on facebook was trying to lose weight and a friend of their's mentioned it. I went and had a look and I liked the look of it. Thanks heaps Melissa! :flowerforyou:
  • I am a mother of five. My youngest is 2, three in two weeks. They sure can be hard work and REALLY test you alot. My third child was VERY demarding like yours. You need to be strong and dont let them walk all over you. Going to bed with her can be "easier" but in the end you are making it harder on yourself. Most of my…
  • I've been on here close to three months now. I find that I mainly just portion control now and now i'm also starting to learn what are high in calories and what isn't. I find it easy to look at it go hmmmm maybe not and pass it by. For me I'm way to lazy and most of my weight is due to pure lasziness. So I'm having to…
  • I go with the HRM too. I find the iphone apps and MFP are about the same but the HRM is taken from what your actually doing and although its not going to be spot on it's better than the others because everyone copes differently with the same exercise going the same pace.
  • I found it very interesting too. Both sites gave me large for my wrist and small for my elbow. must have done it about 10 times lol. I have a very large chest (and have never lost them when losing weight) and can't see myself as having a small frame but still found it very interesting
  • the first few times I tried it over a few years. I didn't like it one bit and i drink tea. but had some a few weeks back and really liked it

  • totally agree!
  • I think I should have a talk with him, in a very calm manner. sometimes kids dont even know what there problem is. Sometimes talking can get it out. Just maybe give him something to ponder.
  • I am also a step parent to a teenage son(16) and my hubby is 10 years older. I have been with my hubby for 10 years but still have issues similar to yours. I find it very hard and still let him do most of the parenting with him. I do get involved but its just different when they are step childern. I have been in their…
