I haven't read...but I'm marking my spot with the 'cool kids'!

I agree! But some high quality dark chocolate and have a square each evening. I had 2 today and it's only 84 calories.

Oh, same for me! I was weepy and moody and snappy....and I never am! I didn't even cut out all sugar or carbs (70g/day)! At 110-120g carbs per day, my mood is so much more pleasant! I figure I'll stay here for a while and then cut back to 90-110g in January.

Oh, I hear you! I've been stalled for 6 weeks now. I've rededicated myself to better eating and exercise, but I always weigh/measure every single thing I eat and underestimate MFPs calories burned for exercise, and mostly stay under calories. I drink water and herbal tea, have had only 8oz of alcohol in 8 weeks. Nothing is…

Someone posted a pizza recipe the other day, made with whole grain lite English muffins, no sugar added sauce (or some other), low fat cheese, and turkey sausage and pepperoni. They were only like 150 calories per 1/2 muffin.

I have a lot of weight to lose as well, and it can be very frustrated not to see a downward trend on the scale. For me, I haven't lost anything in 7-8 weeks...and recently, overnight, gained 5 pounds! But I took my measurements and in 2 weeks I lost 2 inches on my waist and 1.5 on my thighs. I've gotten smaller despite…

Never....even if I'm under calories for most of the weeks. But so much is estimating - calories, exercise - that it's just an approximate guess.

Awesome!

Have you see Trim Healthy Mama? They make 'skinny chocolate' with 1/2 c coconut oil and 1/4 c powdered cocoa with Stevia to taste then spend thin on dish or in mold and put in fridge to harden. I've never made it...and it still has calories, but it's supposed to be a good alternative for cravings (in THM circles).

Both. I've been very frustrated with the scale lately. No loss in weeks. :sigh: But I just took measurements and have lost 5 inches over all, including 2 inches from waist and 1.5 from thighs.

Just did a Fitness Bender video on You Tube! Yeah, I could try to 1 minute jog/1 minute walk. Good suggestion! I really think I'm doing very well with measuring and weighing food, even matching macros on the bags/boxes if it's that kind of food to MFP. I don't take a nibble of anything without recording it. I know doing so…

OK. So, change up exercise. I've been eyeing the loooonnnggg hill at the next road over as more of a challenge, but I just started the low impact aerobics. I'll admit that I am out-of-shape and working in these things slowly. (I have made great strides! Last year my long walk took 1 1/2 hours with frequent stops. Now, I…

I just added that I weigh/measure food as you posted! LOL I try to be very careful about that.

I just discovered Fitness Benders on You Tube. Free fitness videos! Different kinds - beginner and up, toning, etc. They seem well explained and few need equipment (unless its light weight dumbbells and you can improvise there).

Good to know that others have had great success! I am just concerned with my very sow weight loss. I did just have more blood work done to see where my thyroid levels are at.

Not every day, but several times a week. Tonight, the kids are making Christmas sugar cookies...frosted with sprinkles. I already put one in my foods. :)

Cheese Whiz! Just that color...It's not normal!

It's been so long since I've been in the 100s that I would love 175#! (I'm 42.) I remember when I was in the 150s (high school) I had to really restrict my eating or I would gain fast. For now, anything in 'onederland' would be nice! LOL
-
Ah! Thanks! Explains it nicely!
-
Oh, gosh, look how SMILEY are you! Such success! You're inspirational...and adorable!
-
Ahhh....
-
I'm glad it works for some...but I simply can't see it working for me long-term. :)
-
Add me! I'm also a single Mom...who loves walking with her dogs! They're always up for a walk!

I'm a friend of the FB group...and loving the success. But what about those that aren't successful? A lot more can be learned from them! And my understanding is that if you post anything negative about THM the authors boot you off lickety-split! I think ANYTHING can work! After all, THM DOES limit calories and carbs and…

I'd love to lose 20 more pounds by the end of the year...That would put me at my lowest weight in 15 1/2 years!
-
Wow! Lookin' wonderful!!

I totally agree! Losing weight is "simple": expend more calories than you take in, eat healthy, unprocessed foods in proper portions, drink water, and exercise. I don't think I need a 600+ page book with lots of silly names - Sorry to anyone who likes those names! LOL - and wonder where I'm going to get expensive, strange…

Hi! I was diagnosed with PCOS about 15 years ago. I was wondering what others consider "low carb". I have my MFP set to 50% carbs, but wonder if that's too many?
