  • Thanks, I was just getting ready to ask if anyone figured it out yet.
  • These were in the Light Issue of the Food Network Magazine: http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/food-network-kitchens/baked-buffalo-wings-with-blue-cheese-yogurt-dip-recipe/index.html
  • Sounds yummy. Thanks for sharing!
  • I'm 5' tall. Been here for just over 4 months now. Feel free to send me a request. I can always use new friends. Good luck on your journey!
  • Sounds delish. I hope I can stop at 2 strawberries!
  • I am a beginner & I love it. I've heard from other friends who have frequented other gyms and they say PF was definitely a no-frills kind of place. Personally, I don't need any of the things most of the other gyms provide, like child care, a pool, structured classes, etc. There is a free trainer & you sign up for classes…
  • Totally agree. I've lost 22.5 lbs that way. A pound a week. The healthy way. I don't want to go any faster than that & have flabby skin or hate the fact that all my friends get to go out for food or drinks & I'm huddled in the corner with my "good" food. I have dessert almost every day ~ in moderation. I snack all day &…
  • I do both. Twice a week I go with a friend for an hour or two. We chat, but it's not before we burn 200 cals in cardio. Then we swap machines during sets & show each other how to do certain things. I also go alone & get a lot of my focus in there too. On top of that I work out at home alone, so personally I look forward to…
  • It sounds right. On medium intensity in 20 mins I do about 300 cals, in 40 mins, I do over 600 cals, so at 60 mins I can see burning that much. I'm 5' tall & 183 lbs. You have to look at your age & weight to determine your optimal heart rate to burn fat. It sounds like you've met that requirement :) I actually burn more on…
  • They just did the one in Central Florida 2 weeks ago. I missed it :grumble: Bummer. Guess I can try next year
  • lol, I love that he was lifting about as much weight as I can lift. Ha ha ha!
  • I've gone to my grocery store & purchased whole wheat pizza dough in the bakery and used low sodium sauce then topped with whatever I choose. I like mozzerella, basil leaves, turkey bacon, onions, & peppers.
  • Also keep in mind that even if the scale doesn't budge, your body is CHANGING. The scale didn't move for me for about 2-3 weeks. Then all of a sudden the weight melted off in large amounts. I generally lose 1 lb a week & I lost about 3 in 1 week after a plateau. I also noticed my clothes started to fit different during…
  • WELCOME!! You're more than welcome to add me. My hubby was not too supportive at first, but he's trying to accommodate my needs, as he is not interested in losing weight & getting healthy at this time. I look to my MFP family to get 90% of my support & motivation. I give as much as I get AND more. It's hard to do it alone…
  • I gained weight in the first 2 weeks because my body was adjusting to all the changes. It's actually very common. Especially if you ate poorly prior to exercising and eating the proper calories you need.
  • A lesson I learned a LONG time ago... do not lend money unless you can make a donation. No matter who it is. There's no guarantee you will get it back. Also, since it is for your wedding, it's not just your decision to make. Your fiance has a right to object. I don't know how old you are or your financial situation, but…
  • My hubby is not ready to hop on board with me just yet. He is overweight. He eats what he wants. And that's okay. We've talked about it & much like someone quitting smoking or drinking, he has to do it on his own terms. It was a challenge for me at 1st because he was unsupportive and I do 99% of the grocery shopping for…
  • I love all kinds of animals. I currently own 1 labrador mix, 1 mastiff mix, 1 betta fish, & 2 ferrets. At 1 point I had 2 dogs, 2 turtles, 2 fish, & a baby bird. My house is like Dr. Doolittle resides here!
  • My all natural health doctor suggests a teaspoon of olive oil. It's not the best tasting (it could be worse), but it does help lubricate your insides. Usually I need 1 before bed and maybe 1 in the morning. This will NOT have a laxative effect, just help to soften & release.
  • I quit smoking over a year ago. The best thing that worked for me is when I felt the urge I did something active. If I was at work & I had an urge, I'd take my smoke break, but walk the parking lot or around the building until it passed. If I was home, I'd do some type of exercise like jumping jacks, Wii Fit, etc to take…
  • Mix it with crystal light
  • Welcome from Orlando! I've been here since Sept. You are in control 100%. Feel free to add me. Good luck!
  • Jala makes organic, low fat frozen yogurt bars or chocolate fudge bars that are 110 cals each. It feels like a total splurge, but they're on the healthy side of desserts :)
  • I almost forgot, I've also gotten Pure Protein Chocolate Deluxe bars that are heaven in a wrapper! It's very dense, so I can usually eat only 1/2. For the whole bar, it's 180 cals, 17 carbs, 4.5g fats, 20g protein, 75mg sodium, 2g sugar, 2g fiber.
  • You don't have to! I have some organic fudge bars (I think they're by Jala... you can look them up in the food database). They're about 110 cals for the bar. If you don't have that much to spare, have some dark chocolate. Chocolate chips, Extra dark Hershey's, etc are good. Since they are slightly more bitter, you won't…
  • I got a pair of wrap around ones that are waterproof at Best Buy. Think they cost $30. I want to say they're Phillips, but I can't recall at the moment. They stick in my ear like glue until I pull them out. Worth every penny.
  • I'm 5' tall. My BMI states I should be about 112 lbs, but that just seems too low to me. Of course, I started out over 200 lbs, so what do I know, lol. My goal right now is to get to 140 & see how I feel. If I'm happy there I'll maintain there. If not, I'll lose a little more. I still want my curves, just not so many of…
  • I would consider it a free day. To be honest, even if you cut out the fried foods, tortillas, rice, cheese, etc (which sounds kind of bland at this point) you may be stuck with meat that is VERY high is sodium (I've been places where I had a fajita & the sodium in the meat alone is a day & a half's worth... but I'm also…
  • That was hilarious! Thanks for the laugh
  • I use the Public brand reduced calorie natural grain bread (it's 90 cals for 2 slices). I also buy Hillshire Farms low sodium turkey & ham (4 slices is a serving, so I get creative & do 2 slices of each sometimes). I don't use mayo, so I use a squirt of yellow mustard on each side (no calories, only a little sodium) and a…
