  • I suppose it depends on your type of office. My office is shared by one other person, so I keep a bag of baby carrots on hand as well as apples, oranges, grapes, bananas, nuts, granola, trail mix, hard boiled eggs, or smart pop popcorn. My water cooler is downstairs, so I keep a 20 oz bottle & go up & down the stairs a lot…
  • This was AWESOME after a rough day! Thank you so much for sharing. The banana one is great too. I was crying from laughing so hard!
  • I use creamy italian dressing. I only need half a serving to give the tuna a little flavor. I also add in some relish if I have the sodium for it in the day. I find that I do not need any dry seasonings mixed in & it is pretty flavorful.
  • Looks yummy! Thanks!
  • Y'all sound like me! Didn't realize there were so many vertically challenged girls out there. Great things come in small packages! Age: 30 Height: 5' 0" SW: 207 lbs. GW: 140-150 lbs. My goal is an estimate. It really depends on how I feel & look at that weight. I'll know when I get there. I want to look healthy. I want to…
  • Um... my hubby calls me Breakers McGee for a reason. If it's in my hands, I manage to break it. He said there should be special titanium/rubber/military grade products made just for me. I can't help being Incredible Hulk strong!
  • Looks so tasty! Thanks for the recipe
  • I find that when I eat foods high in sodium (carbs, processed foods & sauces, etc) I gain weight the fastest. It's water weight. After that I drink 10-12 glasses a day for a couple days (along with my regular meals) and it goes away.
  • This is simple & always a big hit when I make it. Never dry and full of flavor: Ingredients: 1 whole chicken (approximately 4 pounds) 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice, plus 3 whole lemons—including 1 sliced for garnish 1 tablespoon kosher or coarse sea salt 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper Fresh herbs for garnish (4 rosemary…
  • I started a few months ago doing what I could. Mostly 10 min cardio, 10 min weights. As my stamina built up, I did 15/15. Now, I do about 15-30 min cardio & 60-75 min weights. I've lost 24 lbs over the course of 5 months and I feel like I see more of a difference in my body even though I haven't lost as much weight as I'd…
  • I got my 1st one just a few months ago just before my 30th birthday. I've already got another planned and I'm hoping for more. Not sure how or why I waited so long, but it was very therapeutic after losing some family members and I can't help feeling like it helps clear my mind.
  • Hubby & I ordered Chinese food a few years ago & he bit into his fried rice & got a BOLT in his mouth! Probably from the vent up on top of the fryer/grill area & it fell in. We stopped eating there & my hubby has a fear of eating anything with stuff mixed in (ie. pasta or rice mixed with veggies or meat, etc). Also, about…
  • Thanks for the info. Sharing with the rest of my MFP friends list :)
  • When my aunt died from a diabetic coma & my mother-in-law died of lung cancer within 3 months of each other. I usually deal with stress by doing extreme things. I stopped smoking cold turkey, cut out salt & excess sugar. I ran out & got a tattoo (very therapeutic) and started at the gym a year later. I promised myself I…
  • Nothing is FREE in my book, other than water. I log it all... fruit, veggies, gum, vitamins, even medications if they come up in the log. You never know what has sodium, sugar, cals, etc unless you plug it in. Now, if I've logged it before & it shows nothing I will sometimes not add it to my diary, but I try to log…
  • I wear underpants. Everyone knows everyone wears them so panty lines are of no importance to me. I also feel secure that all my parts are tucked in & in place... especially when I wear basketball shorts & I get sucked into doing an unexpected class on my back with my legs in the air. I don't need to flash the gym!
  • Love Pure Protein bars. I can find them anywhere and they are pretty inexpensive. They also have a few different bars to try (I've found them single at Walmart & Walgreens) so I'm trying them all. The website has a coupon good for any of their products. Here's a link if you want to print: http://www.pureprotein.net/
  • Funny, I never heard of it either, but then I heard about it twice today. You are supposed to drink it as well as have meals from what I understand. That is supposed to last 7 days & you are supposed to drink 64 oz of water a day so it's impossible to make it last for 7 days without having water as well. All this does is…
  • My egg white separator. I used to break the yolks every time! Now it's stupid proof
  • I stopped taking a women's one-a-day when the 100% iron stopped me up for 4 days. I gained 6 lbs in 4 days because I couldn't "eliminate". Now that I'm eating healthier, I find that I do not need the vitamin. I do take 1 vitamin c a day because I already know I do not get enough of that. If you choose to take a vitamin,…
  • Thanks for sharing. Sounds YUM!
  • I love to bake as well. I started decorating cakes about a year ago & I bake & design cakes for all of my family events (birthdays, baby showers, bridal showers, holidays, etc). I also love to try out new recipes. I always want just a little bit. What has helped me is when I try out a recipe, I make it, snap a pic, & then…
  • Rachael Ray has a whole area on her website with recipes for your pooch.
  • Never thought I'd have one either until I had 4 deaths in my family in 1 year. I was having a tough time dealing with the pain. I now have a memorial and the pain I went through is nothing compared to the chemo, pain, suffering, etc my family had to endure over those months. I'm planning on doing one on my foot next. I…
  • I don't know how to post pics. I got my 1st just before my 30th birthday. It's a Lily with stars & scrolls around it. The next will be on my foot... a heart with halo & wings.
  • How about filling laundry bags with dirty clothes. You have to finish 2-3 sets before you can wash them. They're stinky so it will motivate you to push through :) I don't recommend with clean clothes or you'll never want to put them away  I forgot I get those big ol' bags of dog food & the giant jugs of laundry…
  • Depends on how much you're trying to lift. I've seen people use water bottles, milk jugs (filled with water, then water the plants when you're done), canned foods, even frozen meats (in a plastic bag so you have the handle & it's not too cold to hold). There's a place by me called Play It Again Sports that sells used…
  • #1. The 1st one, closest to me. #2. Some clearance workout clothes @ Target. I go through these like water. #3. Masseuse. I can do all the other stuff myself. I can't massage myself!
  • Uh oh, I have both items in my pantry right NOW. I will have to resist the urge. Oh who am I kidding, going to grab a mixing bowl now!
