Too late to join the group? I'm 52 and have 5 kg (~11 lbs) to go - I've lost 5 kg in the past 2 months and hope to get the other 2 off by June. My main goal however is to keep up the exercise and the eating habits over the long haul.

Well, I work in SE Asia - and everything seems to come under the category "food" - certainly dogs (I've lost 3 to restaurants!!:sad: ). I am not a fan of goat meat. Snake and pidgeon blood are also off my list of foods I will eat. On the other hand, a lot of the food is really delicious and fresh.

I know that others have given this advice - but I only weigh myself once a month. I don't even have a scale at home.

I would second that - I find the weights really help - and building up some of that muscle is good for you in the long run

Thanks - I am also in Asia (now) - I don't have exercise rooms where I am but I do bike 30 to 60 minutes a day to /from work and errands. I have little choice but local cuisine but am usually able to figure out a good estimate. My problem is really going back to the US for 8 weeks and all the temptations there (beside the…

Is there any reason not to count unsweetened fresh brewed tea as part of water intake - I drink a lot of hot and cold tea during the day but not that much water.

I joined about a month ago and found that it really helps to log my foods & exercise. Not sure how much I've lost because I am traveling and no access to a scale - but my clothes feel better:smile:
