  • Really to bad that jawbone is the company that bought bodymedia. I was sad when I heard that news knowing that jawbones trackers do not hold up very well. I would go with a basis peak but it doesn't play nice with other apps. Which in my opinion what's holding them back. I was looking forward to auto detection of…
  • I keep seeing that the UP3 only takes a waking hart rate. Yes this is what they report but it does take into account the heart rate throughout the day as well it just does not show it to you (for now). Here is a good link explaining the way UP3 Bioimpedance works and what it will also do in the future.…
  • How are people already getting the fitbit Charge HR? On fitbit site you can’t even order it yet just says notify me when available. All in all no tracker will be 100% perfect. It is just not possible. What I learned with warring my bodybug is to stay in a 1200 -1300 calorie deficit and I easily dropped 2 pounds a week.
  • I hear you I have been without my body bug for almost a year cause I broke. It's been tuff without it. Makes working out more interesting cause I can see immediate results as in numbers. I just wish it would ship already or at least a hard date.
  • i bought the 21 day fix and wish i had gone with t25 i might do that but i just keep doing 21 day fix over and over and every now and then mix in fitness blender workouts to switch it up. I dont want to spend the money on another beachbody, but I am still seeing results. The importent thing is just keep moving!!
  • bottom line is you have to go with what you feel is the best device. You can’t go wrong and you can’t swear by them but what they did do for me was very important in my weight loss. When the scale didn’t move I still saw that things were happening. It made weight loss a game for me, and ultimately helped in those times you…
  • the bodybug used some tech but from what I understand is bio-impedence is just improved upon what they were already using. It is now its own sensor. I think what you are seeing with jawbone wanting to later release a constant heart rate patch is because the consumer believes that is what they want. So many other companies…
  • Best move jawbone ever made was to buy bodybug because before that it was behind the curve as an overgrown pedometor.
  • I understand this point and have been drawn to this as well but be careful with this. Optical HRs have been proven to be unreliable, so is it really worth it. The reason UP3 uses resting is because it can supposedly better calculate through algorithms what you actual caloric burn is. From what I understand like the bodybug…
  • The first release date was slated for end of 2014 also seen where it was stated as "this winter". When I spoke with jawbone on Nov. 6th they were planning on it shipping prior to Christmas. I just spoke with them and it will now be early Who knows with tech delays? About the only reliable company to hit their release dates…
  • If you want something that will let you know your calorie burn my suggestion is to wait until the UP3 is released, or if you can't wait until then (which I am told January 2015) You might want to consider the Basis Peak and maybe the FitBit Charge HR. The big difference is that the FitBit HR and Peak use an optical heart…
  • The thing that worries me about the Basis Peak is its trying to be to many things. Also keep in mind battery life. Peak is also trying to be a smartwatch. UP3 is just trying to be a fitness tracker. To me the old saying here “Jack of all trades master of none”. UP3 has been known for their smartphone app interface and it…
  • I have used several fitness trackers throughout the years including one of the first fitbits made. Here is what I can tell you. I have compared them side by side in many ways. At the end of the day I will hold out for the UP3. I have been waiting this long I might as well wait for what I believe will be the best product. I…
