Jawbone has finally announced a release date to begin shipping the Up3. They will start April 20 and say they should finish sending pre-orders by mid-May. I would expect them then to be in stores by late May or early June. It's about freaking time.

However, they also announced that they were unable to resolve the sealing issue that caused the delay, and therefore they are no longer guaranteeing waterproof use for swimming. They say it is "splashproof" and is fine for washing hands and showering, but not swimming. A lot of people are canceling for this reason.

Still, waterproofing was not my primary concern, so I'm hanging in there. I ordered Nov. 30 and hopefully will be among the first to receive the Up3 (I'm getting $40 off and free overnight shipping because of the delay). As soon as I get it, I'll give you guys a review.

Ugh I'm super disappointed that it isn't waterproof. That was the entire reason I wanted to get one :/ Now it's pretty much the same as the others on the market currently. I will be interested to hear a review.

Well that's a bummer. Just to reiterate, it doesn't have a monthly subscription, right?

Really to bad that jawbone is the company that bought bodymedia. I was sad when I heard that news knowing that jawbones trackers do not hold up very well.

I would go with a basis peak but it doesn't play nice with other apps. Which in my opinion what's holding them back.

I was looking forward to auto detection of actuvities and the peak and UP3 are the only one on the market that say they can.

Please include in your review how well it handles auto detection.

    Thank you

Me too! I was looking forward to the BMF 2 that was supposed to come out before Jawbone bought them out.

So there's a UP 2 now too? The only difference seems to be the sleep tracker.

No, the difference is the bio impedance sensors.

What does bioimpedence sensor mean? The thing that detects heart rate and skin temp and all that stuff?
