How awesome!!! I love it! Great costumes and so cool to celebrate your success in such a fun manner.

I was thinking the same thing! I think I'll celebrate with some 80's music on the radio on the way home!

15/25/60 (Carbs/Protein/Fat). Seems to be working great for blood sugar management and is sustainable for me. I get just under 100g carbs per day on this plan.

Wow! Congrats on such a great accomplishment! I've done some 5k's but have yet to ever run one 100% of the time. Doing a half marathon - what a big deal! Thanks for sharing!

I make the same breakfast casserole every Sunday that I then cut into 4th's and that covers me M-Th. I've been doing this for months now. I have my same old same olds for lunch time. Places I go and order the same thing as I know exactly how to put them into my tracker. I have been trying to add at least one new recipe…

WOW!! Amazing transformation! Thanks for sharing and inspiring us to continue working. Sometimes you need a little extra inspiration to get over the next bump!

109 today. Camping got the best of me. I had to eat more S'mores last night not to mention some chips and dip for dinner. Back on track today and hoping to see under 100's again starting tomorrow.

No sweat @zcb94 - I didn't take any of that as anything more than healthy normal conversation. I seriously would like to know the answer about water as well. No matter what I think we are all here trying to help each other through this crazy world of diabetes!

And my latest upgrade:

Call me a copy cat, but:

@zcb94 - I saw where you mentioned that the other day (water/insulin). Is that for real? I always seem to take a quick gulp of water when I wake up (dry mouth) and I'm assuming it never affects my readings but I'm by no means an expert. But so long as I follow my plan of eating lower carb, moving more and being consistent…

One thing most doctors want is your fasting blood sugar readings. There is another conversation in this group where we post our FBS readings every day. This reading needs to be quickly after waking up (within 10-15 minutes) and before any food/drink other than water. If you start testing like this you will start to see…

92 today. So glad it was under 100. We are camping right now and the 5 roasted marshmallows I had before bed had me worried. But not worried enough to pass on them!

I don't mean to but in to you guys conversation, but this statement reminded me of something. My wife was recently diagnosed as Bipolar 2 and her mom gave her this special light to use. Supposedly it helps with mood or something like that. Anyway, she took it to work and uses it everyday. She forgot to turn it on yesterday…

I pop in every day, but not seeing anything going on I've been mostly looking at the LCD forum. I had a near miss with a stress induced binge eating session yesterday. Thankfully I stopped myself before getting out of control.

Yes - this!!! And I guess as I don't monitor sodium I never really considered taco's being high in that. I add lots of veggies to my taco's so I think the sodium ratio gets evened out by the sodium free lettuce, etc.

When I've fallen of the wagon it would be 3-6 (adult list). At the moment I don't touch anything on either list. And I do still manage almost 100g carbs per day but those are almost all from fruits and vegetables.

Sweet!!! That is 2 things to celebrate - and the 50 pound milestone is huge! Congrats and keep it up!

Sadly for me - a year ago today I was much lighter than I am now. I was 288 (now 314) and had been losing weight consistently all summer. I was down from a starting weight of 352 and I was feeling awesome! But then about a week or two later I got laid off from a job I loved and I turned to food to comfort myself. I have…

Yay! Those are great NSV's! For me - today I was able to wear a shirt I have been waiting to have fit me. Nice change of scenery to be able to wear something new that is a smaller size!

Nice reading yourself! It was funny, I forgot all about the fact that there would be cake/ice cream. When it came I realized I really wasn't hungry and I just have this mindset now that food like that is poison to me.

74 yesterday and 82 today. And that was after 2 birthday celebrations on Saturday. No cake or ice cream for this guy.

Thanks! I'm wondering when the doctor will let me drop another med. I guess I need more time to show what I'm doing is working.
